Early Access Review
It's a little boring to start out, and despite there being tutorials and quests, you have to dig through the menus and figure out how a lot of it works on your own. There's also some weird bugs occasionally.

But, this is one of those perfect games for just chilling, half-watching some youtube video or listening to a podcast. If you like this type of game, you should like this one.

Portal mode is pretty cool. Otherwise go play BFV or BF4. Or Modern Warfare since they keep trying to rip off CoD instead of focusing on what makes battlefield a great game.

If you have nostalgia for Roller Coaster Tycoon this is pretty much the definitive edition.

- The new interface is better in some ways and worse in others. You'll find yourself mousing up to the top of the screen for buttons that aren't there anymore by force of habit. There are some quality of life improvements though so it just takes getting used to.

- You can finally run it in a window without running it in a VM - just press "W".

- It's pretty nice to have everything from RCT1 built in without going out to find and download all of the old scenarios from mod sites and stick them into RCT2. (most people aren't going to do that, and I think I remember some of the recreations were not entirely faithful to the originals)

This was the most fun I have had playing a video game in years. The multiplayer can be a little buggy in connecting, but if you have friends it is amazing. Watch in awe as 3 people screech over how to solve the puzzle while everyone else harrasses each other and throws each other off the ledge.

It works out to ~6 solid hours of yelling and cackling like hyenas, which I think was well worth it. Hopefully workshop implementation will bring many more maps to increase the replayability.

My biggest cities with custom assets in them have taken up about 10GB of ram before, if you are close to the minimum requirements for this game I urge you to reconsider.

The best thing about this game is that there is a gigantic amount of mods and custom assets available for it. The most unfortunate thing about this game is that you NEED to get several of them for better balance and function to stop the game from being more frustrating than fun.

It is a lot more fun than you would expect to lay out your city, watching it develop and grow. There are many gameplay elements: City planning, budgeting, etc but the one that will take up 80% of your time is probably TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT. While it can be entertaining to design your own roads and highways, the system makes sure to shatter your best laid plans and create a clusterf**** whenever possible. The result is always a city with 1000 times more traffic circles than a real city could ever boast of.

The traffic is already so bad, I have absolutely no idea how they thought it was a good idea to have a snow expansion. I havn't tried it, but trust me, the traffic is already bad enough.

Pretty much every system reliant on AI is complete garbage. Healthcare, deathcare, trash, fire... There's mods to somewhat improve these issues, but after getting several cities with 100k+ people I got mods to just turn off death and garbage. It makes the game mindnumbingly easy but no more hair pulling, by this point I just want to build.

7/10 - enjoy your traffic circle simulator.

Every time they update they make it take longer to load and be less stable. Their focus seems to have shifted a bit into the cash-grab mode with silly cosmetics, but they are still adding perks and maps.

The community sucks. most people are either scrubs that beg for dosh and die or all perks lvl. 25 400lb nasly tryhards that complain on the mic. Have friends to play with or don't bother.

That being said, looks badass and plays great. It is an improvement on Killing Floor 1 in pretty much every way.

8/10 - enjoy spending 75% of zedtime reloading.

Yet another console port to completely waste your money on. I've spent about 10 minutes in-game and over an hour trying to find a solution to it just crashing as soon as you gain control in the first mission.

Tried disabling the steam overlay, running in a window, verifying cache, reinstalling, and any other fix that I could find out there. This is far from the first time I've been completely ripped off, I've got at least 4 or 5 games I really want to play in my steam inventory that are crippled by excessive DRM or constant crashes... So no thanks, I'll just replay one of the great Ace Combat games for PS2.
