It's just not there for the $15 price tag. I cleared the entire game in a little under two hours, there's very little in the way of variety, each tower has just one upgrade level, and you see pretty much all of the game in the first 15-20 minutes.

Most if not all of the towers are meaningless, one or two towers dominate everything and do 99% of all kills. Other towers are useless to have and feel just terrible to build. Most expensive towers are far worse than basic 15/30 gold towers.

I'm not seeing the "Roguelite/Roguelike" in it at all, other than the fact it has a talent tree? I don't know if that's what was intended to be the hook but it isn't.

The levels aren't compelling or hard, and the progression of enemies doesn't seem to make a ton of sense. I think it just pulls random groups from a math.random call and spits that group out on any particular level.

It's just not fun. If it becomes fun in the future I don't have a problem changing my review, but right now there's Warcraft 3 TD maps with more depth and polish to them.

I was having a bunch of fun playing this, right up until I was told that plans had changed and I needed to go ahead and get a Sony account to continue playing it. I don't want to give Sony access to my vital data, they have a long history of leaks, hacks and data breaches. Sony is a terrible, terrible company and I have no desire to be associated with them.

If Steam would give me a refund I'd get it right now. Terrible swerve by Sony. Feel bad for Arrowhead cause I know they worked hard on this, but nope I'm out.

Better Heroes of Might and Magic 3. Cannot recommend enough, would pay more for it than I did.

Good Followup but not quite there yet. Cannot recommend it until it gets significantly more fleshed out. Rough around the edges in a way Rogue Legacy never was.

One of the more challenging Roguelikes on the market, with an incredibly high level of replayability and daily challenges.

Fantastic pack. Received from a giveaway, the Legendary that comes from the Epic is great, and I got two fantastic epics out of the jeweled chests.

Loving it. 10/10 Would buy.
