This game thrives on a positive recollection of childhood gaming, nostalgia has provided many with tinted glasses that refuse to observe the glaring issues.

The combat is lack lustre with many opportunities to disappoint. Skill trees offer quirks and abilities that require multiple runs to use in tandem. Enough bugs to destroy the gameplay loop to a level that has provided an amount of frustration that it is hard to quantify.

If you stop playing before going to the city, you may have a good time. Everything beyond that is a hot steaming mess.

Positives:
Jin dies.

I could not recommend DD2 in good faith.

The game is poorly optimised, this is fixed by using DLSS.
However, the DLSS for DD2 is subpar, in many titles that have DLSS functionality the experience is usually very good. The image may not look 100% but often times it's hard enough to tell.

Not with DD2, once you use DLSS your HUD elements will flicker in and out if you so much as nudge the right analogue stick. The foliage becomes jarring to look at and even then you can still find your frames dipping in quite uneventful moments.

I have never dropped below 60fps on DD2 so that hasn't impacted my ability to play the game, but the DLSS needs so much improvement to make this title worth recommending.

The game itself is relatively enjoyable, it is quite a generic fantasy RPG experience but certain elements do elevate it in that regard. I have had a lot of fun climbing up formiddable foes so I can plunge my sword into their spines.
You are rewarded for using your head before you fight, in many encounters you'll find environmental objects that can aide you massively in battle and doing so has been very fun.
Being able to fling my pawns at an enemy is also a really neat feature.
The story is pretty sub-par I don't find myself caring for any of the characters in DD2 because they all just feel so shallow.

I just wish I could overlook the performance issues.

This game is good if you like parkour that works *sometimes*. The zombie killing is quite generic but it can be fun to just mow down a group to satisfy your ADHD before doing the main quest.

The storyline is terrible and the core game "ending" is horrible. Sure the DLC tries to rectify this, it does not change how horrifying the base ending is in any stretch of the imagination.

NPC characters are forgettable at best and the villain is just a watered down Vaas that you just end up not even seeing enough of to dislike him. In the end he's just... A guy? Sure he's mental but he has nothing on any other villain in any other video game like this.

At often times the whole game feels like a Far Cry zombie DLC with a parkour afterthought.

Absolute shock horror.

Early Access Review
A very fun interpretation of "The Backrooms" into a co-op horror game.

My only issue is some levels seem to drag on just for the sake of playtime and new levels take a long time to be released.

However, me and my duo had an incredible time playing up till now and eagerly await each new update.

Pretty fun gameplay loop, it does creep pretty early on and gets progressively more chorelike the further you get.

When on sale I'd recommend playing as it can be a pretty good time killer.

Incredibly fun fighter with a more than enjoyable story mode. Loved every hour I have put into the game and would love to dump hundreds into it if I didn't get severe burnout from playing any game for longer than 3 hours.

Easy to learn and hard to master with the new control scheme for newer players.

As a child I played Tekken.

As a man I play with Juri's feet.
