I beat this game a long time ago on PS3. It was worth it.
Now I'm back again to Banoi and this definitive edition does still has the original feels with better graphics plus more mayhem!

You can do the original difficulty or just activate One Punch Mode.
---No, don't mistakenly think of an anime with similar title. I'm not talking about Saitama, Genos, Fubuki or Tatsumaki. Far from it.---
With One Punch Mode your character will be slightly stronger but still make the game quite challenging to play.

What I love the most is the online co-op feature of 4 players in total. Too bad the sequel (Dead Island 2) can only do that for 3 players. But who knows, maybe the devs will change it in the future, or may be not. Only time will tell.

Dying Light but with no parkour, a MUCH worse story, a MUCH worse combat system and a much less immersive open world, but still a fun experience with friends.

And yes, I am aware this was released before Dying Light, but as someone who played Dying Light first, it wasn't very enjoyable, and with that being said, if you haven't played Dying Light yet but want to play this, make sure to play this one first because it'll be much more enjoyable.

What I did like was the fact you can drive cars and also collect 3 more people (despite the controls being horrible) and the "superpowers" that each character has. The firearm expert which is the one I used is probably the worst one in the game as she doesn't deal a lot of damage with guns, she's horrible with melee weapons and gets killed easily.

Despite all the negatives, I am giving it a positive review because it is a classic that every zombie enjoyer should play, and because the game does have redeeming qualities such as the graphics which are insane for 2011, the funny glitches and an overall decent gameplay experience.

I might even decide to 100% this game some day, but a big maybe because the game doesn't let you freeroam after beating the story, instead you need to start the main story again with keeping your items, but I doubt all the sidequests I've completed will be saved.

Good 'ol Hack N Slash co-op experience.
