Had heard both positive and negative things about this game, so decided to give it a fair shake.

The combat, in my opinion, is the star of the show. While it's not as tight as DMC combat and not as mature and Monster Hunter's, it succeeds at what it set out to do and works very well with the machines' movesets and designs. The graphics hold up very well for being from 2017. Finally, I quite enjoyed the main story, though a bit short.

As for negatives, there's not too many. Had some awkward buggy interactions where I'd clip into a rock or cliff and quest NPCs not spawning, having to reload latest save. Some small texture pop-in and low res distant LODs - not a big deal.
My biggest critiques are however that both the main story, side-quests, and errands all felt too short. Therefore the characters you interact with, I feel, didn't get enough time to get fleshed out properly. The second biggest thing is that once you enter Meridian the armor and weapon upgrade system becomes moot, as you can simply run out and get the required machine hearts, then get purple-tier equipment. Also Hardpoint arrows are way too strong, making weapon choice not as important as I'd have liked.

All-in-all, I feel this game is very much worth a playthrough if you like action games with a focus on story. To me the game does emanate a sense of the dev team wanting to make it a bigger game but were not given enough time and/or resources. Solid 7/10 game.

Most anticipated game of 2020 and... hoo boy.
Negative review for now. Might possibly change depending on post-launch support and DLC.
Will split it into three parts: graphics, gameplay, and story.

Tl;dr
Overall good game. Horrid issues at launch and recommend waiting a few months for patches and optimization. Story let down for me personally; huge wasted potential.

Graphics:
Honestly don't really have anything to really complain about. I've played the game on Ultra with RT off and the game is stunning, though NPCs could've been a little better. Experienced some odd low-res textures from time to time but unsure if it was due to rendering issues.

Gameplay:
Wanted Deus Ex gameplay but better. In a way it felt like it, but stealth is not at the level you'd expect from a 2020 game. Gunplay is okay but not fantastic, don't expect Doom-level gunplay. movement could be a lot better-- a lot. Double-tap to dodge? Really?
Hacking is serviceable. I didn't mind because I thoroughly dislike mini-games.
Driving feels like rigid GTA driving. I would've personally gone for a more Saints Row 3/4 style driving.
Clothing options are quite limited when put into perspective. For an RPG that talks about personalizing your V, it sure doesn't let you do it through clothes. Transmog possible solution.

Story - the big one:
In the prologue and early parts of the story, I liked it. However, the more if played, the more I realized I didn't love the story - but the characters - whom are all stuck in a story that doesn't play to their strenghts.
I loved the premise of V getting a literal terrorist stuck in their head. A terrorist which would slowly take over, turning V into someone they're not - at least according to Vik. What I really, really wanted to see more of that. I wanted the story to be longer so you could've had time to build deep relationships with side-characters and love interests and have them play an integral role. See V turn into someone they don't know.
So all in all. If people complained Witcher 3 was too long, my complaint is that Cyberpunk 2077 is too short and didn't give the plot enough time to build up a real dramatic, gut-wrenching, and ultimately amazing story.

Overall, I'd give the game a solid recommendation if it wasn't plagued by such horrid optimization issues and bugs, both small and game breaking. I thoroughly hope CDPR will put the same level of love into post-launch support as they did Witcher 3. Only then could it be the experience this game deserved to be.

Very good Souls-like with a focus on story. If you like these types of games and/or anime, this is worth a buy.

Everything that can be said about this game already has been, so not gonna try to make a detailed review.
Fantastic game in a fantastic game series, easily one of my favorite games of all time.
Time played when writing this review was for my first playthough and both its DLCs.
Well worth full-price.

Amazing game with a lot of quality of life upgrades that the older games lack. You will likely prefer the older titles if you've played them.

If you haven't played the original Borderlands before. Get this. If you already own the original, stick with it. It is the superior version.

If you like anything about the characters from Borderlands 1. Screw you.
If you like the developers making already ruined characters irredeemable. Buy it.
Pretty much no end-game.
Good game. Horrible Borderlands game.
