(disclaimer, i live in europe so prices are in euro's and own every dlc currently available)

the game itself is good as of what i can see in the current state, have only found 1 crippling bug myself... as of currently and that was more that a certain fleet entered "shrodingers fleet" state asd couldnt be attacked but was in an ai's capitol system and broke it because it didnt know how to react thus locking all the fleets in place, a quick save/load fixed that issue (seems to be a trend for most bugs) and the ai rapidly expanded to make up for the lost time afterwards, this might just have been an issue with that game being multiplayer though and not representative

but i've been reading comments aswell and it seems that there are complaints about the dlc price being 95 euros with the current sale. i'm going to try to explain that for content this isnt excactly true and closer to 65 including the basegame when on sale like currently

first of all, the Ebook, soundtrack, galaxy edition and species packs ARE NOT ADDING ACTUAL IMPACTFULL CONTENT (exept for lithoids and even that is questionable) this knocks off nearly 25 euros off the dlc price, federations isnt currently on sale so thats another 20 euros off of the sale prices as of currently, new dlc is always full price untill the next one comes out or is close to coming out, the starter pack with the basegame, utopia and apocalypse saves another 3 euros, in total if you only go for sale prices that is around 47/48 euros saved right there, currently total price for all the impactfull content being discounted (so once again, not including federations yet which will progressively get cheaper in sales untill it hits the half price mark) and the basegame is around 59 euros, not all of this is ofcourse required and more to be seen as a build your own experience/pick and choose and there are enough guides on the internet telling you which dlc is worth it and exactly what it does but the people stating it socts 95/96 euros for the dlc while on sale only looked at total price and not what each dlc gives or how to prioritize this screaming about the price being so damn high (which i agree, the price is outrageous... if this wasnt 4 years of built up dlc) includes the fluff(portraits),new dlc and "i like the game and want to support the developer" dlc which isnt the fairest thing

edit: a game which can consistently give 30 hours in 2 weeks is a definite reccomendation for me though
