this game used to be incredible but in the state its in currently i cannot and will not recommend this to anyone. Valve you need to fix this game the bots are infesting the game making it nigh unplayable

i so wanted to give this game a good review. ok. lets start with the positives. the games premise is great putting a villain in the spotlight. the characters you meet along the way are fun and the writing is phenomenally funny. the musics ok i guess. ok the bad now

the enemies are brutal as are the bosses. the first boss is completelly random in what he does and if you get hit twice in a row by his UNAVOIDABLE attack yeah this boss has an unavoidable attack! that takes half your health!. after that one i found the game only to get harder for stupid reasons. bad enemy placemnt jerkish enemy placement and programing. i mean yeah whats more fun than a guy that throws an axe that hits you for double damage through walls! the load times are kind of annoying and the framerate constantly ♥♥♥♥♥ the bed. this is a 2d game i shouldnt have frame rate issues! maybe in a patch that fixes ai and enemys down to where its not worse than megaman 2's brutality i might give this game another go but for now i gotta give it a very disapointed

a wonderful way to learn how to haggle. but in all seriousness its an adorable game with memorable characters. reccette is just a little girl forced into this situation and that makes you want to make her go far. UNFORTUNANTLY she's surounded by the biggest cheapscapes this side of a fantasy game. the "loan shark" tear is one thing but i kid you not i've had people order expensive items and come to pick them up only to be only two cheap to pay up! that has screwed poor little reccette out of her home.

the customers are the worst part of this game they can be summed up in two phrases "cheap as hell" or "always wanting things i dont have access to."

which is sad cause the other characters i've run into so far are a delight spoilers from here on. you meet a funny little adventurer named louie. and he's starved. literally every time you run into this guy he's looking for cash to feed himself. are the people in this town just heartless!
a demented little ♥♥♥♥ by the name of allouette who's an heiress a chain shop. she notices reccettes shop and decides she wants to find a way to run it into the ground. she oddly enough also has a fairy companion but this one doesnt seem to be after her money or home like tear. so i give her a pass.
next is a theif that in all honesty i dont know to much about yet. though she seems to love drinking and little reccette. even pulling tear to the side essentially saying "im watching you!" finally someone aside from the blacksmith that cares about this pretty no she's an orphan her father abandoned her.
speaking of the blacksmith isnt much better than allouette. he helps reccette get started but it seems like he's always coming in to sell you stuff.


the dungeons range anywhere from brutal to easy. if you go in half ♥♥♥♥♥♥ you'll wind up wasting money. which once again by the third week you need a ridiculous 80000! first 10000 then 30000 thats one hell of a jump there tear! and dont loan sharks usually give you a month to come up with the next payment? whats with this "you pay me once a week or its cardboard box for you." oh im not kidding its a freaking cardboard box you're put into if you fail.

long story short. get the game, its adorable fun and hard. join me in raging at the cheapness of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of said town. join me in cursing tears name cause seriously. you're making a child pay you tens of thousands of dollars every week

the game is anything but ground breaking but its still a good game. where the game falls is its difficulty depending on what stage you pick you're going to go through the game increasing the health and getting new powers ignoring anything youtuber realated you're in for a pretty generic platformer with a huge amount of difficulty. you have four difficulties to choose from but the final one is unavaliable until you beat ever stage on "Bro" dificulty which is pretty hard. look some of these reviews are talking about the game as if its an illness because its pewdiepie. you have a pretty good selection of youtubers to take on this game but you have to buy and unlock them first. not in that order. the only two available at the start are martzia and pewds. not long in you'll get mark soon after you'll find jack and ken. only towards the final level do you unlock the final youtuber. cryotic. every character has a partner or two for help on the way edgar maya TTT Sam Ken's dogs and Cry's mini crys. only after getting every badge in the game do you unlock the ability to get the duck character. not to sure whats up with it i've yet to buy it in game.
the story is forgetable but it gets so ridiculous at times that you cant. its not very important to keep you going in the game. but then again, did the first mario need the story to be fun? do any mario games other than the rpgs need story? no and this one doesnt either the story's alright though completelly ridiculous. *spoilers* pewds has to rescue his fans and friends that have been captured by the EVIL barrels and the dreaded barrel king in order to get the legendary brofist this games mcguffin. going through and rescuing everyone will eventually bring you to the dreaded barrel king the journey as well as the final fight is hard enough in places to make it challenging. it took me a good few tries to get to it. killing things like t-rex's and illuminatis will get you achievements cause you have to either be extremelly good at jumping or have a good skill to use skills are unlocked as you go the final one being the brofist which is only used by pewds
going through and completing this game will nab you steam achievements and yes i will recomend this game to someone that wants a nice throwback to hard games like megaman. while no jumpnshoot mechanic making more like mario it still has the style of a megaman game and the difficulty. the game does have problems im not going to say its perfect cause its not. the voice acting...isnt the best but then again these are the youtubers doing it and you can skip it! the difficulty can be a little ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at times and how hard enemies hit you varies sometimes. but its a good game and i recomend you at least play it more than an hour or two before you judge it dont look at it like its pewdiepie. cause you can skip pretty much everything that has to do with him. the game has a few cutscenes whcih can be skipped.

so by all means play it dont complete it cause you will have a slog of things to do. it got kind of annoying gathering certain patches

ok. so now that its patched i still recomend the psp version. even will all the extra new fetures turned off it still runs at maybe 20fps which is an ENOURMOUS improvement over the 6 i was getting. though i wish there was a way to burn through dialouge. i remember that was my biggest grip with the psp version. and yes thats what im going to be comparing it to. cause it ran smooth on a handheld from over 10 years ago, the game is good and i got through the tutorial faster than i got through the opening dialouge the first time i booted it up. combat feels sluggish as the animations are so slowed. yes i know i can turn those off but i want to RECORD this for youtube and that simply wont do. so it seems that my hopes for doing this game will have to wait. i do have a back up so yeah. either way i hope you keep improving this game and its bugs cause that edge one is bugging the hell outta me.

an amazing game play before you watch someone else do it. love how they're slowly implementing a secret character into it.

wonderful game with a wonderful cast of characters....just wish the controls were a little easier to get used to

i dont find the supposed music issues terrible. im happy to have a new way to enjoy this game since my ps1 broke.. plus now i can do everything i couldnt do in the ps1 because it was unavliable i mean chocobo world. its an incredibly fun thing to do in the background of anything your doing just make sure to check on it.

this was my first final fantasy game ever. so i may be a little biased. and yes im waiting on remake to get 7

its a great game and yes i would recomend it but for some reason some achievements wont pop up for me. there's the one for the first mission and the batgirl vs scarecrow that wont pop up
