Not really a game but more of a study tool where you can dress up a room and pick clothes and stuff for your very own lofi anime kid. It has some nice features like a pomodoro timer and a journal function where you can keep notes or whatever. There are only 3 build preset slots and I hope they add more, as well as more clothes and room decorations.

never played the original but heard about it over the years and was super excited when a remake was announced so I could finally experience it for myself.

Cant compare it to the original but it's a good game that does really scare me. the combat is just clunky enough to make it intimidating when i see a lying figure stumbling around in the area i need to go to without feeling like i've been intentionally handicapped, and the pacing is excellent. right as i feel like i'm getting used to the enemies i'm seeing, they introduce a new one.

ive had some performance issues, usually in places with no enemies. restarting the game or just waiting or moving to the next area seems to resolve them.

the collectibles aren't terribly interesting, but maybe i'm just not getting enough of them. if i still want more when i finish my first playthrough i'll do a collectibles run.

8/10, maybe 9. the performance issues are the only real "flaw," and otherwise I just wish the game had more.

Very creative tower defense game. Elements of roguelike/deckbuilder. I never really feel like I'm being screwed over, whatever pieces I get.

Good free idle game. A few different systems to play with without being overwhelming.

im not a big visual novel fan but this one caught my eye and ended up being way more interesting than i expected! after doing a couple blind runs I felt compelled to pull up a guide and run through all the branches I missed as well. the writing, voice acting, and art all work together to make a very compelling story without relying on fan service or other VN tropes

Pretty fun game. Cool to see the story play out on the galactic map in real time as the community completes or fails major orders. Lots of ways to make the enemies explode.

I just completed Chapter 1 after watching Wendigoon's 5 hour video explaining the story.

The game is really simple, but really good. Your only actions are movement and prayer (sometimes prayer is replaced with shoot or camera).

The story is great and unique. The rotoscoped animations are spectacular. The music is haunting.

Sometimes the deaths feel unfair or annoying, but I don't think they are that bad. The boss fights (at least the 2 in Chapter 1) are manageable. I sorta wish there were more save points.

Killer Frequency is an incredibly well-crafted experience that exists somewhere between visual novel and puzzle game. You use clues around the radio station and through dialogue with callers to help as many people escape a crazed murderer as possible. The game is short and sweet, lasting about 4 hours for one play-through if you don't waste any time. Between calls you get to play a variety of music and listen to some silly ad tapes.
