This is Baby Factorio.

It essentially boils down the essential elements of factorio to its base elements. This means that necessarily, its less complicated. This isnt necessarily a bad thing, but makes it a different experience. It is in some ways very refreshing to be able to see EXACTLY what is going on at a glance, as there is no power generation, pollution or "smelting" or anything like that.

Definitely worth it at full price. Would definitely recommend and already have to several of my friends. If you like playing this, definitely move onto Factorio as they share a lot of the same experience.

Combat is highly repetitive and doesnt seem to get fun for the 4 hours I put in. While understanding that this is a sandbox, there arent very many storytelling hooks to keep the player motivated to get through the grind that is present.

Some of the level up systems arent immediately obvious and how the systems interact isnt really clear. (no "how much damage would i expect to do with my current weapon equipped, and have to just guess) Really basic systems that have been present in fire emblem for over a decade such as a damage calculation and then being able to undo moves arent present

Theres the barebones of a good game here, but in its current iteration, you spend time grinding for hours getting through the early tutorial and not very interesting content, then you get stronger, but then theres nothing left except to grind to get stronger. There also seems to be an enemy level up system so the enemies get stronger with your characters, which also makes the grinding not very rewarding.

Enemies dont seem to be super intelligent either, and will march straight out of the fog of war and more often than not directly into melee range, making the only effective strategy to have tank(s) being able to absorb the hits, which gets old pretty quickly, and interesting strategies arent really rewarded as you cant see where the enemy is until they have already engaged.

One of the best stories in videogames.

Hits the itch from Mass effect with the collecting of the team, while actually being well written and payoffs for your decisions as the story progresses. TBH the porn/Adult section of the game are good plot/story wise, but arent actually very extreme. Would definately recommend even if youre not really interested in sex videogames. RPGmaker combat features pretty heavily, but is much more acceptable due to the way it is portrayed (no random encounters, each enemy only appears once, and doesnt respawn) however there are quite a few instances of puzzle battles or good theming to keep it new.

50hrs represents roughly the amount of time to get up to the end of the current content (0.54.0) while knowing more or less what to do due to a previous playthrough on an earlier version. If you want an example of how complicated the story can get, check out the walkthrough on the wiki (google TLS walkthrough). Dont look through too much if you dont want spoilers as it pretty directly spells out all the storytelling beats.

Like mount and blade warband with updated graphics. Some bugs, but is being updated pretty regularly. If you havent played mount and blade before, definately watch some gameplay before purchasing.

Also features a pretty strong modding community, even though the modding tools havent been released yet.

Dont buy unless you are willing to put up with an unfinished campaign, however most of the features are here and already is a good time.

Story is up there with fire emblem. Follows Anime Napoleons sister as they fight for revolutionary France

Doesnt have any relationship between units (not that the relationship between units in FE actually really has any effect on the story other than a few lines at the end). You can choose to make different factions happy with different choices, which will give you different rewards.

Weapons mainly reflect revolutionary france (IE muskets, rifles and cavalry) which seems to actually work pretty well. Has a weapon triangle like old school FE that is pretty satisfying. Has a couple of mechanics that look to make the game interesting going forward - For example, heavy cavalry does more damage the further it moves in the same turn before attacking, which encourages using different strategies.

Get this if you want modern Final fantasy tactics on PC, or FE on PC. Ill update as I play more but its pretty great at this price, considering Fire Emblem on switch is still ~AU$80

Very much like a cross between factorio, and tower defence. Simple, yet compelling.
