Delta Force: Black Hawk Down is one of my all-time favourite games and while I haven't played the reimagined campaign since it's still in devleopment, the multiplayer is absolutely awful.

This is nothing like the original, this is a super bad attempt at straight up copying BF2042 (what a shocker that Chinese developers can't try and be original for once). However, for some reason even copying the operators which was one of the most controversial aspects of BF2042.

The mouse aim feels terrible, like it's emulated input converted from gamepad input. Trying to get a 1:1 ratio to your raw mouse input is absolutely impossible.

Honestly, BF2042 is also garbage but it's a far, far superior experience to this.

Not a super big fan of review bombing, but it tends to work. The recent big UI update brought us what is quite possibly the most awful UI I have ever seen in a game.

Their entire UI department should be utterly ashamed of themselves if they genuinely think this is good UI design.

Terrible F2P model, combat is slow, clunky and janky - and not the good kind of jank. Inventory management is a chore, copying Tarkov a bit too much. The biggest pro of this game is that the classes are quite fleshed out, plenty of skills to choose from.

Community is very similar to Tarkov, completely obsessed with informing everyone how massively HARDCORE this game is. And every other game is a filthy casual scrublord game.

Luckily this game finally has some actual competition, so we'll see what happens.

Playtests were decent and now upon release, don't see any obvious typical freemium garbage. At worst, auction house pass for roughly $5. Other than that, cosmetics. Not locked to 1 character like a certain other ♥♥♥♥-tier game.

Overall gameplay and polish is far, far superior to Dark and Darker. Hopefully Mithril plays their cards right, does some good marketing and I believe this game will easily ♥♥♥♥ all over Dark and Darker.

Super generic game, it tries to take concepts from popular games like Warframe, Destiny and The Division but does so very poorly. This isn't a passion project, this is a project made entirely with microtransactions in mind.

While games like Warframe are also very grindy by nature, at least those games are fun. This game isn't, the grinding is a chore. The gunplay is absolutely awful, the skills feel okay but once they're on cooldown you're back to using the awfully boring gunplay again. The environments are empty, super boring and look like your average asset flip title, doesn't look cohesive at all.

The result is a horribly stale and boring universe, with boring and generic characters and classes. It has no charm, no soul. It's just a cash-grabbing game trying to appeal to people with cringey lewd female skins.

It probably gets better later on, but the new player experience is absolutely awful while being important for a generic game like this to maintain its players.

For example, there's no way to limit what kind of players you get matchmaked with, so it suffers from the same issue as Warframe does. You'll be matched with level 40 sweatlords that are only there to farm materials, resulting in everything in the dungeon being killed the moment they spawn.

Calling this is a co-op is a stretch, you can't even drop gear for your friends which is absurd. All you can share is resources and ammo, that's it. Quest progress isn't shared either, so building a base together makes no sense.

This is NOT a co-op game.

The story is a snoozefest, the voice acting is absolutely awful. At least the gameplay has some potential.

We dealt with 2 billion bugs in less than 24 hours, did Sony really think we'd let one corporate entity get in our way of spreading managed democracy?

The game's simply amazing as is the franchise as a whole and most of the games Arrowhead has produced. Worth every penny, especially if you have friends to play with.

New:

As I previously stated, if poison were to be nerfed it's an easy 9/10 and I stand by that. Poison is still around, but one particular item that was hilariously overpowered has been nerfed.

Definitely recommend this game.

Old:

While I am enjoying the game to some extent, I can not recommend a game where the AI solely relies on stacking ridiculous amounts of poison. If this horrendously designed mechanic is ever changed then yes, this game is an easy 9/10 and I would strongly recommend it.

Constantly swimming in poison for first 9 hours doesn't exactly give good early game impressions.

I've always wanted to like this game but it has made 0 progress to improve through all these years. It's still one of the worst balanced games on the planet, you'll frequently be fighting pre-made groups with pay-to-win builds. All you can do is bend over and spread wide to the wallet warriors.

It is ridiculously grindy, battles are over in like 40 seconds because people have such overpowered cheese builds.

Was trash, still is trash. But it's Gaijin so it's to be expected, they wouldn't know what good game design is if it hit them in the face.

If Arma 4 is going to be anything like this, then Arma 4 has a very bright future ahead. The new graphics are great, the performance is very good all things considered. Distant shadows, fluid motion, proper vaulting over objects, vehicle physics that feel fantastic.

Bohemia has done a truly amazing job with this engine, the modding tools are incredible compared to what we've had to use before. The tools are more similar to that of a game engine like Unity or Unreal Engine 4 which is great.

Some may think this is a bit expensive for what it offers currently and I agree, but if you have any interest in the modding tools - it's worth the investment.
