Game is worth, Just for Panam.

Fix the damn stairs - they still suck.

I enjoy this game. However, there are a few setbacks - This world does not feel "open-world" at all. especially in multiplayer.

every hill has a castle on it in multiplayer, this means you cannot take shortcuts over the hills. Following the roads takes a lot longer than jumping off of said hills.

That said, the game is still really fun, solo or online. I started out playing solo to get the reins and then I started on a 2x solo duo server - I recommend playing a 2x as vanilla is a longer early game than rust.

This game had so much promise. I'll admit i bought it at launch and put the 60 hours in basically in the first week and I wish I could take that time back. The factions idea was awesome but poorly executed. The player economy was another awesome idea but it was dog water. If a faction wanted - they could make you go broke in a matter of minutes with tax raises. Lastly, Player housing... This was the worst player housing I have ever seen, World of Warcraft Garrisons make this housing look like the outhouse from Shrek.

Only real positive is that it is not subscription based.

"HUGE CONTENT UPDATE" literally just added 1 item. Please don't buy this game - at most it's worth $20.

TLDR:
Grind fest, overrated, underwhelming and an overall waste of time.

Only 50 hours in and I still have so much to do. It is a great game. I would recommend installing some mods to play for hundreds of hours though.

Well, this game, man... There is a lot to say about it, however, I'll keep it short.

Before you go "why did he recommend this game if it has more cons than pros" just continue reading.

Pros:
- Great fun if you have friends to play with.
- If you go back to alpha 15 / 16. It's just incredibly fun
- Time waster (in a good way) you can do so many things, such as building, quests, shoot zombies for the sake of it, go hunting and
treasure finding.
- Many ways to change the game settings (more loot, more exp, etc.)

Cons:
1. Without playing with friends and co-ordinating skill spending, good luck trying to get most items before the day 7 and 14 hordes.
2. So many ****ing bugs that they for some reason have decided not to fix.
3. Even with my PC that can run any other game at 120+ fps, i get a max of like 60, this drops to 30 when i shoot guns.
4. As mentioned in point 1. The new skill system is so shameful and does not live up to previous versions. You used to mine to get
better at mining, now you just have to level up 5 times and spend the skills and then boom, 50k stone in 10 minutes (so dumb).

I recommend this game, if you have friends that are willing to play it with you, if you don't have any friends to play with. Skip. Buying. This

Had to refund almost instantly because there is no 2640x1440 which is basically the new norm for gaming.

they go up to 3360x something but the next lowest is 1920x1080 which looks like ♥♥♥♥ on my computer.

Overall it's a good game but i couldn't play like this.

With all the negative reviews recently, I thought I would chip in with a positive one.

Look, sure the game is unfinished (and by now it really should be done) however, I still find joy in this game - It has been a while since I last played but they added multiplayer from what I heard so my mates and I might jump back on board..

However, for the hours i played solo, I had tremendous fun, the scenery is breathtaking and the crafting is simple yet advanced. Sure there are other survival games in which you could spend so many more hours on. Raft for instance. But raft doesn't come close in my opinion.

Another comparison to Raft (as they are both relatively the same) is that the open water in this game whilst just as tedious to get across as in raft is MUCH more terrifying in Stranded Deep.

All in all, I genuinely love this game and the difficulty it provides - pick it up on sale or full price - both are deserving in my eyes.
