Just plain fun. I have only just finished the story. Its not groundbreaking but its a typical hero story with great visual cutscenes and fights and thank god the text interactions are autoplayable and voice acted. I would say using the japanese voices are a must, in english its rather cringe.

The combat feels very shallow when you start, but when you invest some time you start to see a lot more combo's and timings in it. You can def button mash it through the story if you wanted to.

Best enjoyed with a Mic

Had one crash on release day, shaders took some time and made temp high but after the shading was done the game runs at 90 fps on highest settings in 4k with dlss on quality.

Game feels and looks great, I played this on ps3 so the difference is very noticable, Aiming is easier with MKB but still tend to pick up the controller bcs of the button layouts. Might change these havent really fiddled with hotkey settings.

I hope all the problems for other people are resolved soon that they can play this masterpiece.

Only tip I can give is at least wait out the shaders before giving up.

First Dark Souls game that I enjoy this much and can't put down.
I'm not a souls fan normally but this game just feels and plays right.

If something is to hard you can always come back to it + marika stakes and 'bonfires' are closer to the bosses so its less of a hassle.

Its a bit of an easier souls game in this way but that's what make it more enjoyable those little QoL improvements.

Cuz fear not, the challenge is still there.

Has some bugs, but i'm enjoying it!

Has some performance issues, but runs okay enough.
Playing mainly solo and it gets harder and harder.
Liking it so far, can't wait till the game opens up more in terms of content.
Combat is smooth and feels rewarding due to difficulty.

Update:

After playing a few more hours the story really opens up.
Crafting is a big thing in this game its fun to play around with all the different mods and effects.
Combat still feels great and rewarding.
And the difficulty keeps rising.

Performance is better now as well no real stutter issues anymore,

don't get attached to loot

Still buggy as suspected, but 2 days in and already 2 hotfixes containing loads of fixes. Buy it to support the dev. Btw some bugs are hilarious tho

I don't like the souls'ish gaming mechanics, but somehow this game made me enjoy it.
