Planetside 2's been an ambitious project with an amazing outcome. With the population the past years, it has been kept alive as a passion project. I have faith that it will have a fantastic comeback, and become great again.

The game could be wonderful, I have no doubt. but being greeted with a progression system locked behind a wall of lootboxes just feels like DB was deaf to the outrage it rightfully causes.

Splash damage doing what they do. With vibes of Wolfenstein: ET and all the speed of a quake game, you've got a classic shooter with enjoyable, skill-based gameplay.

A little dead but still fun as hell. I miss this game, and would love to see a comeback!

The most fun I've had in a long time in VR. If you never thought the idea of being immersed in music was possible, this is definitely a one-stop shop for just that.
With a few mods and tweaks, you have probably one of the best rhythm games on the market.
Edit:
Most recent update 14/MAR/2019
has fixed a lot of the optimization issues, I am happy to announce.

All the adventure and personality of my favourite side-scrolling adventures and space shooters. With a neo tokyo-esque kyoto soundtrack. The execution just works; from the moment I started flying, the song choice and tutorial just drew me in! gave me a good 15-20 hours for the story, but there is a lot of content to explore endgame, all with a growing modding community, even!

==THIS REVIEW IS INTENDED TO BE UNDECIDED AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE==

I went into this game with a lot of skepticism, as of writing this review, I have only 90 minutes into the game, so keep that in mind.

First off, I'd like to say that the game has processes that linger. So, if you're not careful, which I wasn't, you will end up with extra hours on the game, and will not be eligible for a refund, if you intended for one.

Social games have seemed to surge the VR market, so it is nice to see something that breaks that pattern.
Pros:
*Neat mechanics, the game feels really nice to play
*runs fairly well, I am barely sub-vr specs and got good performance
*Social aspect is really nice, using my attached compass as a walkie-talkie to my party was ridiculously cool, and felt natural
*Progression is fairly nice, and seeing an intimidating enemy is.. well, intimidating!
*The game urges wonders and has a lot of potential

Cons:
*The $40 pricetag is very questionable for the content
*Locomotion is wonky, even the teleporting feels goofy, snap-turning is an on-touch instead of on-press.
*the quests lack depth, in the current state of the game, they're grindy and there's no tracker for them other than your journal, which you'd usually prefer to have on other pages early on, like the map or on combos if you're a warrior.
*Not many classes, actually fairly disappointed about that.
