Just really boring. Movement is slow, weapons feel sad, and it's not engaging at all.

Very good game for 2 player coop. A lot like Gunfire Reborn, but much smoother, and feels a lot harder. Took around 20 hours to finish the last boss on hard, so great value. Highly recommend for FPS fans.

Should be renamed "Knowledge Check - The Game". I understand the appeal of "extremely hard" gameplay, but this just isn't it chief. It's a rerun simulator, and rather than being hard, it requires you to have knowledge of the thing before it happens or is known at all. A massive waste of time.

Soulslike shooter with the boys, what can go wrong? Well, a bunch of things. I want to preface this review with this: I had fun playing through the game with a friend on Veteran. 7/10.

Pros:
- Most of the bosses are SICK, cool concepts with actual innovative game design put into the mix
- Shooting is fun and generally feels alright
- Butt loads of secrets everywhere
- Adventure mode seemed awesome

Cons:
- Runs like ♥♥♥♥ even with newer PC setups, nigh impossible to get a good frame rate constantly
- It's really hard to aim on the PC, the crosshair kind of sloooowly follows where you're pointing, making a flicking style of aiming impossible. It feels like there's a hidden mouse acceleration in the game, even with deadzone set to 0 (yes, deadzone affects your mouse movements too for whatever reason)
- The writing goes from horrendously bad to suberb, mostly staying in the horrendously bad department
- The NPC's are mostly extremely unlikable
- There's absolutely NO build variety when progressing through the campaing, more on this below
- New stuff mostly hidden behind secrets
- Dodge timing on some of the bosses feels way off from the actual motions showed to you
- Stuff that SHOULD be in the campaign is in Adventure mode, making Adventure mode feel redundant and the campaign hollow

The biggest con, and the reason why I can't recommend this game for 50€, is the fact that it's a looter shooter, but there's hardly any loot in the game. Me and the friend I was playing with were stuck with this constant feeling of "are we doing something wrong" when progressing through the main campaign. We didn't have to upgrade our weapons at all, there's no way to "make a build" with the traits offered to you, and most importantly, there are simply too few weapons in the game. Now keep in mind, we were playing on veteran difficulty and cruising through the game, with 0 upgrades, with over 10 unused trait points. Leveling feels like nothing, because you get marginal returns without ever even needing them. In the 18 hours of playing, we went to the hub area to specifically upgrade our equipment a total of 3 times.

The only loot that you find is a million rings and maybe 4 amulets through the whole campaign. The rings themselves would be fine if they would act as a build enabler, but at this stage, there's no way to make a build. There are simply no weapons, no armor to change to. The first time I noticed that there's maybe a build that I could try doing was when I was at the final boss. At that point, what's the point of making a build? The game is already over.

When you do get a new weapon you have to craft it first, upgrade it a bunch, test it out, and if it's ♥♥♥♥, you simple cannot get your scrap back. This in itself limits the player from trying out the weapons; what's the point if I'm just throwing away my resources?

The saddest part is that the game had actual GotY material, just missing those crucial parts that make it coherent.

Literal running simulator with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Lost story. Absolutely no challenge, the AI is so bad it makes you laugh rather than scared. Had to quit at the very end of the game because apparently the ending needed you to run ever more. Building is like Valheim if it sucked ass.

What's the point?
