Fun game, developer that shouldn't be in charge. Their other titles are not on steam, and are just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mobile games nobody cares about. They are over their heads and their lack of talent has nothing to bring to the table. If they don't like it, why develop for it? Go somewhere else.

I purchased the game since it has a very possitive reputation. However, I'm left dissapointed, a few tries in, and you'll know what you're into.
Learning the patterns of the enemies and combinations is crucial to succeed. Those patterns are not hard, but the random generation will ensure a wonky difficulty curve that will hinder the learning process. Maybe you'll have a few hard levels on the beggining and then speed trough the later ones, or you'll go ahead and reach the final levels easily only to die to 3 different new enemies.
The controls feel great, but inadequate for the challenges ahead of you. Multiple items are available for purchase, offering variety in the gameplay, but there are so many useless ones you'll rarely get something worth your while.
Nice style and average music. it's barely an average game, but it has a lot to offer. Do not expect to be engaged by it from beggining to end, and it may have what you want.

The great artstyle and soundtrack is worth of your time that's all you need. Not a lot of gameplay, but the ideas it has are well executed. The difficulty goes up and down a bit, and I'm not sure if the concept could hold a sequel without felling bloated.
A little game with a lot of love in it. What are you waiting for? it's free!

A boss rush platformer, its greatest strenght is the escalating challenge. You'll always feel like you are about to beat the nearest hurdle with a little more effort. It's the first game on steam that I got all the achievements on, and it never felt like a grind.
The animation is so beautiful, you wont mind restarting the bosses again and again in order to beat them. And the music will keep you pumped for the next round.
I just had a blast playing it and can't imagine anyone not having fun with it.
It'said that the game is hard, don't let that discourege you, it's part of the fun, and you are back on the action so fast you won't notice.

Buy it 10/10

If you like platformers you may want to take a look at this one. With great music and nice art, you won't even feel bad for the high number of deaths you'll experience. For the experienced player is a fair challenge, there is an "assist" function I haven't use for more inexperieced players. The gameplay is tweeked every few levels so it always feels fresh, altough a little clustered.
If you play games for the story, I wouldn't recommend this one. It takes me back to the days of free internet platformers in the web. High on the metaphors and low on the meat, the journey you are in couldn't be more evident if someone explained it. There is an atempt to marry story and gameplay but it comes of as tired and improvised.

A platformer reminiscent of 8 and 16 bit classic consoles. Keeping what made those games great but a lot more forgiving with the players. Not as hard but definetly not easy, should not be your first plarformer. If you are experienced however, you might find it too easy. I can't imagine a platformer fan who wouldn't get some enjoyment out of it.
Unremarkable story with a sense of humour and sekf aware.
With a great memorable soundtrack that doesn't drill your ears like the old ones, you'll have no problem listening to it for hours.
With three campains is definetly a fair exchange for the price even outside a sale. I recommend

I my where do I begin, well I guess the good things first.
The writing is not that bad, adn the ambient is nice enough to loose yourself in it. Thats about it.
Now let's talk gameplay. In this game? please don't come here wih your expectation that games should challenge something about you.
You just read something, choose a response, and you read the response. Is a novel with nothing to say, you are better of with a nice book.
It's a way of telling a story designed to resonate just with certain age demographic. If you didn't lived it, you'll get nothing from it. And gets tired almost instantly.
The story, is your basic teenage drama. and I REALLY mean basic. No challenge, no flavor, its just a vanilla tasting heartbreak made to resonate with as much people as possible. If you like soap operas, this is for you, and only for you.
SPOILERS from here on
Everything you do is pointless and you'll end up hating your main character at the end no matter what. The main problem I see is the lack of multiple endings, a game like this really needs them. The control the player has is meningless. This portrays his as whiny and annoying, unable to move on or fight. The story just goes by without him learning, growing, or actually interacting. He is the toy of everyone but the player, and has no control over himself.
This lack of development makes him one of the most boring characters I've ever encountered. But maybe I'm just a heartless monster.
Oh, and Emmily, I really couldn't care less about her.

conclusion:
Has a lot of work in it, I can't deny that, but it's wasted and missplaced.
4/10

The story and the gameplay do not touch, you just read some text as you play and there you go, nothing fancy. The art is nice-enough, (some sort of dark anime loner inspired). The hitboxes are kind of messed up, and you'll die sometimes due to that issue. The lack of backgrounds is the biggest issue, since it makes some jumps really hard, because cannot see how much you have moved, so you'll be guessing a lot. The music is forgettable but not annoying. In gameplay some ideas are interesting, but the aplications lack creativity. In the end 6/10 to who likes numbers. Good ideas not as good excecution, but is free and not painfull to play.

If you like reading, this is not the game for you. If you like games, this is not the game for you. This is a text based "adventure" and if extreme boredom is a sign of depression it reaches it's goal.
It seems like a good idea to make a game about depression and the feelings asociated, but this just misses the target. It's poorly writen and gives the impresion of being a "blog" (personal, yes, but unprofesional, and painfull to read). The music is repetitive and the sound effects anoying. You'll notice this since the "game"/diary/blog takes ages to go trough, is not that long, but feels eternal.
If you want a better depression experience, you just need to play your favorite "sad" playlist and read the news, or your favorite boring teenager blog. And all of that without having some expectations or waisting time.
Thats all.
