So, I've played enough hours now to give a first impressions review, the core game itself its fab, I think it really excels in what's new - but to sound like a broken record the UI is deffo a placeholder, it's like they designed the perfect cake, flavour is balanced well, coats the mouth - but then they forgot they needed to decorate the cake and just dragged it through a pile of leaves. If you can get passed the wild UI and the honestly hilarious age change scene music where you can literally hear a dev coughing and typing in the audio it's a really, genuinely good instalment of CIV - enough for the review to stay positive.

UPDATE : TODAY'S UPDATE HAS **REALLY** Improved my performance as a whole, still a way to go but enough to change it from a solely negative review.

ORIGINAL REVIEW : I am really, really upset to give the game at the moment no recommendation, but when my GPU is sitting at 100% whilst I'm getting 5- 15fps, I really can't experience the game at all and it's so frustrating because it LOOKS GREAT, but I'll never know because I don't want my PC to become a threat for bomb disposal. Maybe I'm the clown for thinking the FPS issues wouldn't be that bad, but Christ....

Really, really fun - brings back a good feeling of co-op multiplayer, don't listen to the butthurt l4d2 versus fans, this is really fun especially Bar Room Blitz, if you know - you know ;)

Put at least 50-100 hours into this on epic before it came here - so nice to see it get a bigger platform to play with, great gun play and plenty of fun to be had. Best F2P in a LONG time!

Now before you're put off by this game because it's made by the killer keem and his team - I'd like people to give it a chance.

$5 is the asking price so let's keep this in mind of a small development team.

The gameplay is easy to understand and controls are well explained throughout the levels, Some levels are a good level of simple and challenging as they go through the stages or "Chapters" of this game. The gnome recruitment is a brilliant feature which I think gives the game it's stand out selling point.

Whilst the game is well built, I wouldn't say it is nearly polished enough for people to pay anymore than $5 - but the point is that this is fun, yes it has a few bugs and if you have a widescreen monitor, the text cuts of sometimes, but it's a great little hack and slash level up-er of a game and I think if you've got a spare $5 it's really not quite the disappointment I think a lot of people were expecting.

7/10 - Great game-play, fantastic mechanics to make it unique, a few bugs and isn't quite graphically polished either, but nonetheless great fun.
