One of the best strategi games out there.

The newest update (ICO=Infantry Combat Overhaul) punishes tactical gameplay such as flanking the enemy positions and sneaking up on enemies as the time taken to ADS (around 3 seconds) will easily mean you get discovered before having any impact on the firefight. Pair that with a horrendously overdone suppression system and you got the recipe for one of the most infuriating gameplay experiences possible, the game simply isn't fun anymore and I'd also wager it isn't "realistic" despite what the devs claim.

The game has now been reduced to a sit in bush and fire 300m at the enemy at the other bush and wait for the match to end. The aim of improving teamwork is a complete fail, instead of working together in the squads people now just run around as headless chickens since infantry has zero game impact anymore. A single vehicle can suppress a squad to the point that it cannot fire back with its antitank weapons because of the ridiculous ADS times and suppression effects.

Ironically the ICO update has made infantry completely obsolete, 9 good players in an infantry squad can get smoked by 2 garbage players in any armoured vehicle, where as before infantry squads actually posed a threat to vehicles.

An amazing game in it self and the 2 dlc's NW and Viking conquest makes it even better. I highly recommend downloading some of the amazing mods, it free!
