I originally played Dead By Daylight in 2016, returned to play back in 2019 and the improvement and expansion of this game is incredible, the devs from BHVR really care about this game and are constantly trying to the player base happy, be it from new content such as Killers/Survivors or maps, they balance the game a lot based of player feedback and stats they gather to make sure it is as fair as can be.

While this game is amazing and definitely worth picking up, it does have its issues, like any game, the major issues currently are the hitboxes, it seems almost 80/20 if you will or won't get hit by the Killer, usually you get hit regardless, this most also be a fault within the dedicated servers they only recently introduced and while it is better than having P2P which could be really bad, having stable ping is perfect but they seriously need to iron out the hit box issues.

Balancing in this game is done for the average players and not based on the top tier players, being Red Ranks myself I have no issues with a lot of the main issues average players have, it's typically a matter of skill rather than things being "broken" or "unbalanced", while I do feel as though certain aspects are broken such as Killer addons, a lot of them are being changed.

They are currently undergoing a new patch/chapter to which they will give bans to players who disconnect, this has been a long time coming and it was needed, to many games would be ruined because someone left early within the game for no apparent reason, this won't stop people ruining games however as they can easily run towards the killer and get killed on a hook if they wanted to leave, so in terms of ruining the game for the other players this only really affects the survivors now, the Killer will be able to do what they want even more so now, which they do anyway typically but there is some kind players out there.

Dead By Daylight does have a toxic player base, people talk smack and play horrible, but like any game it is what it is.

Overall, a great game to play with friends or to make friends on, very active community and constantly being pushed for content.
