Really fun little narrative about some deeply disturbed characters. The writing is wonderful and it definitely pays to walk around poking everything you see in the environment. The puzzles are pretty nicely paced, most are relatively easy and don't interrupt the flow of the story terribly, just challenging enough to get the brain thinking a little.

Overall enjoyed the hell out of Episode 1/the demo, and am enjoying Episode 2, will be looking forward to the release of the others as they come.

If anyone is on the fence, I urge downloading the demo and, if you enjoy it, grabbing the early access release.

As of the time of this review, the game contains the core house renovation and rental gameplay loop, both of which are very satisfying. You start with a shell of a house, a list of tasks and a pocket full of lint; and by grafting away washing dishes (Or acquiring parts through less scrupulous means) you turn it into a house worth renting. Albeit only worth renting to the lowest quality of tenants right now.

The dev is very responsive on Discord, and at the moment, at least, updates are coming pretty rapidly bringing plenty of great quality of life features and new content. The entire game world is also absolutely loaded with that 80's coal mining town aesthetic, dingy and grubby and just a little bit hopeless.

At its current state, Landlord's Super is well worth the price, to me at least, and I can only see it improving from here.
