This game released in an absolute mess. But I was still hopeful. Now as of the largest patch (1.5), this game is absolutely worth the purchase. I have played through this game countless times now, and each time I find something new to keep the experience alive. I will admit there are some bugs after a few hours of playtime (a simple restart fixes this), but it doesn't ruin the experience at all for me. The game runs pretty decently on an RTX 3070, but definitely needs the newer hardware to get decent framerates. Otherwise the game looks absolutely beautiful. The storyline still needs tweaking as most options for certain endings I believe are absent (certain types of completion are not unlockable even after extended playthroughs). The story itself is quite nice to delve into, theres lots of snippets of the world unlockable through various datashards which is a nice touch to help expand the lore of the game further. The game is quite immersive, getting me quite invested into the role of a (dying) mercenary. Gunplay is not the best thing in the world, but still feels quite solid. Lots of different weapons make this game feel very approachable for most players. Missions feel very diverse, with most offering some sort of bonus for completing a mission in stealth, or meeting certain side objectives within said mission (I find myself playing the game again in order to try various objectives/endings :P).

Modding is also present here, and is quite deep. Most mods fix, or add various bits of content that players wanted from the beginning, so seeing the community work on this is quite nice. (Do note, backup any local save files before modding, I learnt this the hard way.)

TLDR; Good game, worth the purchase today, has some minor bugs but nothing game breaking. Good story overall. Decent gunplay. Good mission layout and diversity. Good modding scene also.

Update on 2.0 + Phantom Liberty: Brilliant update, exactly what this game needed, perfectly balanced and a great story on top (be sure to make the right choices..) had me reeling for.. however many playthrough's I needed to get a proper conclusion. Everything is overhauled for the better, takes some time getting used to however. Next to zero bugs, only found some when I really rushed through things. Otherwise the DLC is completely worth the extra time.
