Currently have 57 hours saved still have yet to finish the game. In my personal opinion I absolutely love the game but understand that the game literally is a sequel to a existing story so without seeing the story you wont understand any of the references so its HIGHLY encouraged to go check out "Journey to the West" its in book form first obviously cuz its a ancient story of how Buddhism came to China. but the 1996 TV series not animated of the story is the best way to consume the material, or you can try the 1986 version but its a bit aged. this story has been something I knew of as a child and loved the TV series the most I lelarned a lot about the monkey king from that and it helps A LOT with understanding why these characters say the things they so etc. etc. etc. Now the thing with the developers being anti femanists, PLEASE dont let that stain your look on the game itself and the story because neither of those have anything to do with it. there is plenty of diversity in the game, the culture is alien to the western cultures so just bare with it and try to read up on it before indulging. The only gripe i have with the game is the environment is a bit more underdeveloped then usual dark souls like games you get caught on a lot of things. IMO 8.5/10 ...

Forget ALL the haters of this game, after 91 hours i finally finished it the way i wanted to and got the true ending. This game has a message for a specific audience and they told it with that. whoever plays this game HAS to check out "Journey to the West". there are so many 10/10 throwbacks in this game it would be silly and pointless not to. The voice actors in the game EVEN have the same mannerisms as the OG from the 1986 series. Please do yourself a service if you plan to play this look deep into the book or show series. itll be worth it.

So I like the game it took me 139 hours to finish but its riddled with things that I have issues with and I couldn't recommend this game to others until they fix most of these things. lets start from the beginning the game makes it to where you can easily out level most things in the game, pawns harass you with their offering to be your pawn like a boy scout on a fundraiser binge. Your own pawn you make and the ones in ur party pelt you with the same 10 lines of commentary during travel and they also WONT SHUT UP about ladders in the main cities. the developers REALLY need to add more lines to pawn travel commentary cuz it got old after 5 hours out of the 139 i spent playing, the developers know its annoying too cuz they have a specialization that makes them talk less unless they got a feral disease. The fun i had in the game came from my raw need to explore the world, the combat (being gritty like the first game), and the occasionally the side quest that was written well (not enough of them were like this). Not to mention there are buzz kill mechanics that can wipe out a city and replace all of them with the remainders that survived, if you didn't listen to your already annoying pawn. If your pawn is going to be even more intentionally annoying make it more obvious because its muffled among the 10 lines you gave them to say on repeat every 5 minutes. Im sorry but i had to mod out some of these things because its just too much. When developers complain how other games dont make exploration fun enough and say their boring and THEN release a game that is equally as bad as those other games... I mean Skyrim made exploration unique to explore that was two decades ago. Here exploration has the same monsters from dogma 1 no new monsters unless you are in a quest of some sort. there are no interesting scenarios or encounters while your travelling on the regular road. So excuse me for this but its just plain hypocritical to bold mention other games are boring to explore cuz their game wasnt that great to explore, you definitely rely on fast travel a lot in this game especially the endgame. the best part of the game was the end game but that was on a massive global timer that ruined and rushed the experience. I mean it felt like someone rushing me off a roller coaster ride just after riding it. the several outcomes to some quests were either very obvious or did not have any other context clues so you would be stuck just wondering what to do next. So imo the developers seem to be huffing there own farts and are still stuck in 2012 when there last game released because so many other games have smoother gameplay, more interesting, and more unique. And here it just feels like it fell fairly short of the expectations it was not much of a upgrade from Dogma 1.

Despite the bugs that litter the game. This game has been a blast a SOLID 4.0 stars of 5, Best played in groups solo gameplay is inadvisable since the gameplay is molded around group play but worry not there is a quickplay option that works 50% of the time atm but still works in the end. If you like deep rock galactic then you would absolutely love this game. atm though AMD 7000 series graphics cards are suffering a lil bit cuz of the bugs but aside from that if you can play it then its worth it. tons of toys and glam to go around battle passes even has a community goal for everyone to work toward. As long as the dev team continue to support this game and clean it up its definitely worth a try.

Early Access Review
after 31 Hours of playing I was very shocked to see how much was in the game. If you like Pokemon and ARK survival evolved then this might be something u should try. the bugs atm aren't major game breaking bugs and well from face value it seems like a cheap knock off but when u play in a server with friends its actually plays like its been tested properly. and after 31 hours i think were maybe halfway through the map its a large map man ... definitely a 8/10 solid game wish Pokemon did it first and right like this. All the haters are pretty much hating on it cuz its not Pokemon.

Loved this game as well as the first game. You can definitely feel a bit of a difference from the two games in a good way. I loved the fact that this Spiderman felt different seeing a newbie swinging through the city made me smile, the gameplay fights we a LOT smoother and even the bases had the ability to full stealth them not like the DLC from the first game. The only thing i can say they could improve on is in the hardest difficulty prior to Ultimate, maybe take it a lil easy on NPC wombo combos, there were many situations where the wombo combos were frequent and so it slowed down the momentum of the game by a lot quite often, maybe Spiderman needs a bit more health (I dont mind getting thrashed on higher difficulties but dying from wombo combos kinda sucks cuz i couldnt dodge or do something to prevent them)? Cant wait for the PC port for Spiderman 2.

Love the game, one of the better super hero games out there. my score for the premium on a discount is 8.5 would have made a 9.0 if in the DLC the challeneges and bases were actually stealthable. For some reason there were issues stealhing the DLC lvls. The swinging from building to building felt great and all the narrow jumps felt great though, the story was also awesome cant wait for spider man 2 to come to Steam.

OK, so if you are alright with modding it (graphically not cheating), then this game is fairly good. There are some situations where you also might need console commands for some quests that either summon missing NPC's (Neon Technician: "0015636e.moveto player") or the walk through doors (TCL). typical Bethesda jank if you understand what that means.

I also highly recommend playing through the main storyline until a "major turning point" happens finish that out then hard focus side quests before continuing to the end of the main storyline. Trust me you will thank me later, you dont want to hard rush down the main storyline to the end not worth it.

All in all I rate the game 8/10 and thats being generous because it has a typical amount of Bethesda jank in the game so depending on whether they fix it or not depends on whether i score it lower or higher later as updates happen.

This is a easy buy if you:

-Like long adventures
-Like DnD and numbers
-Like playing a game with 2-4 friends
-Like great story on story action

The only thing the developers need to really do is clean up the optimization a bit there is a performance leak the longer you play so restarting the game occasionally to remedy it. The game is dripping with content from head to toe and teaches players how to play their interpretation of the 5e rules from DnD so if you wanted to learn to play DnD as see what its like this is a nice dip into it. This game for me is a easy 9.5/10 just got to clean up the performance leak and were all set.

I love the micro management of this game it feels like a Medieval Satisfactory near the end game.

The one thing I would want the developers to change though is to make it more ethically correct when hunting. You see head shots do more DMG which encourages people to think this is how things work in real life which IT'S NOT, the correct spots to aim for are the lungs to guarantee a ethical kill where if they do escape they aren't permanently suffering from being mangled which does happen a lot because people aren't properly educated on the matter. So please I encourage the dev team to possibly change the critical spot to be near or behind the armpit of all the hunting animals besides fish and birds.

Also one more suggestions. a Snap to grid option for roads and buildings / OR let farms place in any direction as long as elevation doesn't exceed so and so angle.

Aside from that those glaring things everything else makes sense and i love it. Played tons and I plan to play more as soon as multiplayer comes out and more content.
