Love the game so far. Had to deal with some issues causing my game to crash, but the FPS is fine. No idea what everyone is complaining about.

It was a mid attempt at copying Lethal Company. Was fun for a bit, but was quite repetitive.

Awful, abandon-ware trash. The developers love coming back to new reviews and ♥♥♥♥ talking customers for telling the truth though, so there is that. That attitude is clearly what gave the game MIXED reviews, all the positive reviews being people that played way back in the day during Early Access, and the game practically never left it. Avoid this dumpster fire as much as you can.

Game is too buggy, and Updates are lack-luster, along with being sparse. This game has such huge potential, but as stated before the previous updates in the last 2 years have been bug fixes, some ship *customization*, and bug fixes, along with the most recent economy update, which doesn't really do anything new. Ironically, this is the buggiest the game has EVER been for me. The menus get screwed up, the ocean looks REALLY bad during storms, like 60ft tall walls of water, not even waves. The complaints go on, which I would like to say, is really disappointing. This COULD be my main game. Fix the awful bugs, add some actual content, like homes, a player character, maybe even some npcs that actually fill the SUPER barren islands.

I feel that there was too much vagueness with this Game over the past year. People had little to go on, so many assumptions were made and this game was being held to a standard based on certain mechanics making people excited. I am sadly one of those people who took some answers too heavily. "Run around the planet and explore the whole thing", and what not. I believe the largest thing the community should be mad about, is Todd not being specific and leaving too much on the table for what to expect. Now, what opinion do I have. Not that my opinion is any more or less valid than anyone else's.

This is a BEAUTIFUL game, I love it so far plain and simple. It is what I have wanted since I was a kid. An Oblivion/Skyrim Game in a futuristic / space setting. At its core, that's what it is, plain and simple. I will very likely spend the next few years playing this game. The story line so far for me is very nice, very Bethesda. I have encountered minimal, to zero bugs. Some things may have been bugs, or just me not knowing what the hell I am doing. Which leads me to one of the major issues of this game.

This game does not EXPLAIN, anything. Sure it gives you the basics, but when it comes to hand holding, it's NULL. Now for some this is a refresher, myself included. Though it does make me think back to the past few years and I realized most games now just assume you are an idiot, and walk you through like a toddler, hence why I was so frustrated for the first 2 hours or so. So if you find yourself annoyed with this, give it time, give yourself time and you might just learn to love a game for allowing you to learn on your own!

Now to MY major complaint. LOADING SCREENS. EVERY. WHERE. WTF. This is 2023, this is a new engine, with the bare bones of an older engine. That's how engines work, so that is NOT the issue. When I go to get on my ship, I should be able to open the hatch, walk in and do whatever I want in the area I am landed in. WHY is there a loading screen into the ship lol. So old, so dated, so annoying. The technology for persistence and streaming is far beyond this. This to me is the MAJOR downfall for this game. For the immersion that there is, it gets ruined by this. I am not expecting a star citizen like experience, but when this is meant to be a space exploration and planet exploration game, why the hell can I not go into my ship without a loading screen huh? Wild.

Now to the boundary problem. Listen, if Todd had just been honest from the start, and not vague as hell, no one would care. Personally, for me it does kinda suck because now you it is obvious you will never add more reasons to be on planet like vehicles. This boundary issue is the smallest of the planet issue though because it wouldn't be that bad if the landing locations were persistent. Imagine you land and you see a beautiful dune or mountain out in front of you. You walk towards it and find a boundary. Oh, no big deal just get in the ship and go in front of the curr location you are at. Only to find the mountain doesn't exist outside of that original location, because each landing spot has its own random seed that gets generated lol. yikes. Now even all of this could be forgiven, if this space game had any real reason to be in space, or in your ship at all.

I find it annoying to go into space because again, I have 7 different screens I have to run around just to get to where I want. I have to warp to a planet using the star map, then I warp and see the planet in front of me.. now I have to go back to the map, go into the planet map, and then choose where to land... come on... This could be SO much better. Make main POI's available as nodes on the planet when you are in front of it, so we can go to it from the cockpit, instead of having to pull up the damn map for a 8th time. If you want to land somewhere more specific, then pull up the map. That would be just fine. It feels like a chore going into space, and having random encounters when you warp that stop you in your tracks get annoying. Maybe if I had a reason to fly around and explore space, and then random ships warp in and attack, that would be one thing. Here I am warping to some planet, I get there only to get freaking blasted out of space our of no where..

All of this complaining and whining is over, with all of it said, these are 3 major points, that I feel could be done BETTER. MUCH better. This game isn't held back by art, story, technology or even mechanics. It is held back by designers. Then ask me, is this game worth it.... Yeah I guess lol. I am disappointing in a lot of ways, and I felt that they would truly go above and beyond, but it feels like they gave normal effort, and kinda tried harder in some areas. I am a huge Bethesda fanboy, with too much damn time on my hands. I will be back at 100 hours to tell past me to shut the hell up, or to confirm these feelings. All in all, just give it a try. It is worth that and more just in the content that is available.

THIS UNBALANCED POS, sucks ***. Killers are WAYYYYYYYYYY TOO F*****G OP. They need to balance this. Currently nothing but Camping Killers, and 3 hit killers. If you get caught even once, game is basically over. ♥♥♥♥ this game, killers too OP, game unplayable. UPDATE #2: Somehow this game got worse. It is even more Killer sided, and impossible to play as victim. Hope this game dies, along with the careers of the ♥♥♥♥ decision makers at the company heading this.

SUCH A SHAME. All of the NAME changes especially Muffy and Nik Nak and Flak. I just don't understand. The reasons provided make NO sense. You changed the dialogue in a way that ruined the charm of the original. This remake, as it is graphically would have been INSANELY GOOD, if you had just left the Dialogue, Names, AND FARM ALONE. Leading me to the next problem. WHY change up the FARM?! It is just so crazy to think you would take the Nostalgia out of a game, that people are mostly buying for nostalgia. I grew up on this game and love it SO much, but it is so hard to look at something that only resembles it in textures. For me, it is like the soul has been ripped from the game. The small details like the ledger and storage shed differences, to the name creation menu being LIFELESS. I was so excited to name my dog, and hear the music play. Sadly it was just the same sad text box, and no music change. I will come back and update, but this is so disappointing.

TLDR: This is not what I would call a faithful remake. If you are expecting to get a damn near copy of the original game, but better graphics. I am sorry. They changed things, that did NOT need to be changed.
