Very active modding community, lots of things to do, many maps to play. A bit of a large hard drive install but definitely a game worth it for long haulers.

Fun little game, best to play with someone you're close with. I honestly don't get why so many people are complaining and screeching misogyny like a bunch of clowns when it's a silly game about walking talking cups and as far as I can tell rather gender neutral...walking, talking...animal people. I think some people may be looking for too much of a semblance to everyday life and taking offense. Which means they were looking for something to be offended about in the first place. They must be really bored or have nothing better to do.

The game is fun if you have planning skills and can prep and make a quick plan for how to get through each day, and the RNG , contract choices and purchasable buffs keep it interesting. It can be stressful to play the game for long periods I tend to prefer 30 minute to an hour sessions or it gets to be a bit much. The home upgrade system is definitely fun and something to keep playing for, and expanding business plans around them is fun as well. The game has a lot to offer but only if you're willing to stick with it. It's not for everyone but it's pretty neat.

I've played for almost 4000 hours, between the community drama and the haphazard updates, wipes with no warning, and just not delivering on promises in a timely fashion and reverting to old code for zombie spawns since the last update....I honestly cannot recommend this game. It's been a downward spiral ever since it was acquired by Jagex and this appears to be a trend that's going to continue. Things actually seem to be getting worse, and more shovelwared by the update. It may be time to say goodbye to SCUM.

Edit: If things improve, this opinion will change. I have no intention of giving up on the game anytime soon, I love this game, but I feel like it hasn't gotten the love it deserves, which is saddening. I'll continue to play, and test, but I really hope the original promises can be delivered upon.

PS: People are still going insane about not being able to empty a box of bobby pins, nails or bolts, we'd all like to see crafting and inventory simplified. The simple explanation for why is mass crafting without a 'dump' ability is a repetitive motion risk.

Latest edit: Obviously the comments must have fallen on deaf ears, I received a minor 'dev response' with essentially 'we're sorry' and the same copy paste garbage most people are getting. Movement is now shafted, a wipe happened just to add turrets noone really seems to care about that would have made more sense pairing with the dropships. Quest system more or less copied from Rust with smartphone access, not worth doing compared to what could be found just looting one major POI. I would say I don't know who's actually listening to feedback but it's seemingly 'noone' because they aren't hearing a word.

Update: Wow I got a copy pasted pre formulated letter just like so many other people got for their review that was probably honestly written by a bot for the HR team. So time to turn up the harshness.

They didn't listen.
I repeat.
They did not listen.

Jagex does not care about this game's original playerbase, nor the original creator's vision for this game. This game will continue to get worse until mod support is released. The developers cannot be trusted with this game's future anymore, it's now in the hands of the fans to fix it.

Love the game, great storytelling with a very captivating narrative that will keep you immersed for some time. The characters have a lot of depth and it's easy to get invested. The horror was never made cliche with too many jumpscares, the missable phone calls of desperation were honestly a nice touch to make you believe the madness was actually happening. The only drawback is the game is a bit short, I would love to see more put out by the developers. The price tag may be a bit high for some but keep in mind you are paying for an immersive experience. Even in the short time of play I still felt like I got my value due to how much enjoyment I had. Keep making games like this guys, it shows you cared about what you made.

I can't honestly suggest this title. It's gotten a lot of buzz and a lot of hype, and this honestly seems to be overhype. The narrative is dry, the story is barely present, and it gets very whiney, very fast. It honestly just feels like oversatirized retail worker frustration made into a story. The game is honestly more of a geometry and physics toy than an actual game, so if you like that stuff go for it. If you're looking for a more intuitive salvage game look elsewhere as the play gets very repetitive.

Not only, is this the worst port I've ever seen, this thing has been gutted. On top of that, one of the most hostile terms of service and anti user censorship methods with crap they can't possibly ever enforce. It comes off like screaming kids because they know they delivered a half baked product. Oh, and they also reserve the right to dox you. Don't believe me? Read it and weep:

'4. I really like this game, I realize it's in early access and there are a lot of bugs but have faith. Purchases pay developer salary and let them keep giving us more and more updates and fixes. I encourage more people to invest early, because despite setbacks and bugfixes and technical issues I've had a lot of fun with my friends on our server. That being said, I want to offer my commentary on some more things I'd like to see.

I really dig that a lot of the elements can be used for RP setups. I would however like to see more native american things in the game. Primarily structures, longhouse pieces, teepees, totem poles. Everything needed to make a native american settlement and provide a real immersive spectrum for people to enjoy. I'd also like to see some more of their weaponry eventually, slings, thrown nets, throwing spears and axes and most of all more traditional apparel for them including head dresses (rare birds could be a valuable resource hunting activity, feather hunting) and beast slaying to craft the outfits. These are just my personal thoughts and a request from a fan, but please consider would you? I'll be sticking with this game.

I bought this game when it was newer, and I had seen that it had quite a few updates. It was a nice game when it first came out, there were some areas for improvement and there were some things like installing plumbing to rig bathroom appliances where you'd like. I am happy to say that the creators have listened, the game feels smoother, more crisp and it's nice to see developers that care about the experience of their players. I heavily reccomend this for anyone that would like something cathartic to help with stress levels. Gives a real sense of peace and I've found it to be rather immersive for a nice respite of relaxation.

Heavily reccomended.

....Where do I start. This is probably one of the most grindy, pay to win games I have ever played. Even on day one you should be able to gun at least a few people down. No, this game is in it's entirety, prettymuch a rapid spawning, zerg rushing, that unless you're willing to spend hours and hours using the same cheap tactics, will make you have an aneurism. Don't have cash to invest? Well guess what, enjoy blazing a full clip in someone's face and them not dying because they've paid to win and super boosted with implants and a ridiculous amount of armor add on while a single infantry man terrorizes an outpost. Stick to other large scale shooters.
