Check this out, if you're remotely interested in shoot 'em ups. The game is insanely polished, its presentation a sight to behold, amazing soundtrack too ... and best of all: it plays like a dream. I just 1CC'd EASY mode on my first play through, so it's even beginner friendly.

Awesome 3D platformer with excellent level design and controls. The game isn't very hard, but a joy to play.

Capcom tried to add DRM retroactively, making the product worst for paying customers. This is very anti-consumer and bad practice for a company offering digital goods and services.

Fresh 3D platformer with tons of physics and resulting dynamic gameplay. The players really need to think on their feet. Highly recommended for people with high refresh-rate displays, this game goes full throttle.

Do NOT sleep on this one if you love CAVE like bullet hell shoot 'em ups. Gunvein goes way beyond your usual arcade port. It got plenty of "home conversion" style goodies: proper tutorials for beginners, boss rushes, score attacks, rogue-like arrange, online leader boards for score chasing, etc. Top tier STG, which is designed to be challenging but also fun.

I played this game for 65 hours, unlocked every character and secret. I'm still not sick of it.

This game is bonkers in all the best possible ways. There are bullet hell patterns, but the main gameplay is less about shooting and more about pattern recognition plus active avoidance in a circular fashion. Good Knight is fresh and unique, great for people who think they have seen it all.

Check out DRAINUS, if you like SHMUPs like Gradius, Salamander (Life Force), R-Type. It's so much fun and accessible. Their engine is a sight to behold, think 2D sprite work with as many animation frames as 3D.

Lovely presentation: excellent pixel graphics, music and art direction.

The gameplay is rotten. Controls are ham-fisted, think quick time events with a hand tied to your back. Player skill is limited to damage control, lots of grinding, retries, trial and error. The game isn't really frustrating, but more annoying and disappointing.

I've cleared Summer Catchers out of spite.
