This is one of the most beautifully horrifying games I have ever played. A fantastic homage to old Silent Hill and Resident Evil games. The combat is simple but solid, and the ammo economy is just right so that you always feel like your on your toes. The story is fantastic, the setting and tone is familiar but unique, and the music is so good that I listen to it to help me sleep. This is undeniably an absolute MUST play for anyone who's a fan of true eldritch horror or classic survival horror games.

El Paso, Elsewhere is a beautiful and tragic jaunt through a myriad of locations, more often than not mixed together into a horrifying amalgamation of memories, both bad and good. You play as James Savage, a man tortured by his past of drug addiction, abuse, and bad decisions. You'll experience his memories through projectors and cutscenes, slowly beginning to understand his relationship with Draculae, his ex. The gameplay is great, a mix of Max Payne and DOOM in all the best ways. It's satisfying and fun. The voice acting work and cinematography is also top notch, some of the best I've seen in terms of storytelling in quite a while. This is an absolute must play, and the story will give you a good 8 hours of gameplay. I'd say it might be the most profound and interesting indie title I've played this year.

Of every game I've ever played, Bladur's Gate 3 has, so far, encapsulated and elevated the DnD experience like no other game has. The amount of times you'll say "I can't believe that worked" during any playthrough is unbelievable. It legitimately feels as if the game is a DM that will let almost anything slide. It's the "You can certainly try" of turn based RPG experiences.

No Man's Sky is one of the only games that can convey true cosmic horror with no gimmicky monsters. The writing is impeccable and the atmosphere is unmatched. Every single update to the game since launch has been completely free. New features are still consistently being added with no end in sight. This is a must play game.

Best melee combat game in existence. Learning curve is tough but the most recent update fixed a lot of animation stuff and got rid of some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mechanics that are a bit annoying to deal with for new players, so there's no better time to start. Highly recommend this for anyone who's looking for a deep and satisfying melee based game. Or you can play archer. I guess. >:)

Original review was negative due to VR not working properly. Check comment section for details of problem and my setup

If you're looking for a good dogfighting VR game, THIS IS the one. Combat is smooth, satisfying, and extremely intense. It's very visceral and although the combat is a little over the top and unrealistic, it doesn't take away from the immersive aspect of the game whatsoever. The visuals and cockpit are done very well. The game throws plenty of different kinds of targets at you so your loadout is actually important. There's tons of weapons to choose from, ranging from bombs, multilock missiles, and even nukes. If a mission is mostly air targets and you go with a ground loadout, you will have a tough time making it through. Cannons are super satisfying but they do feel like they run out of ammo quite quickly. Luckily, the game gives you enough standard missiles (lock on to any target and do moderate damage) that you'll be fine even if you run out of gun ammo. The best factor of the combat has to be BY FAR the AoA Limiter. If you put this module on your aircraft (only a select few have it) you lose your flares, but you become hyper mobile on brake. It allows you to do stuff like backflip mid missile run to hit all the targets below you at 90 degrees and then continue onward without losing your momentum. Or flip 180 to gun down a fastmover that just flew past you. Oh, and the soundtrack is amazing as well. If you're a fan of Ace Combat this is most definitely a must buy. Trust me, you WANT this game.
