I am going to begin this review by stating that this game is the single best reinvention I have ever played. I absolutely adore Tomb Raider and everything that the developers have done to reestablish this franchise is effort well spent. The atmosphere and phsyics are something only seen in the best action movies. The cutscenes effectively painted the scene and portrayed the characters vividly. Each character had flaws, strengeths, fears, and hopes illuminated through the story of survial by Lara Croft. The new face of Tomb Raider does everything right when portraying Lara Croft. The game places the player in her shoes as she is trying to survive on an unknown island. Witnessing the first kill through eyes was cathartic and you really begin to feel what she feels. The collectibles in the game are well-placed and are non-divergent to the story. I never felt like I had to impose on the stories progression by trying to complete achievements. The PC version, I should say the survival edition, greatly increases the vfisual quality of the game by allowing the player to manually customize the graphical options. The greatest and most proficient feature of the game is the rail action based scenes that require attention to detail to survive. There is nothing more exciting than crashing into an abandoned airplace and quickly harnessing a parachute and weaving through trees in beautiful expanse of wild unknown. This undoubtedly is one accomplished title.

Bottom Line: As this is my favorite game, both because of the story, and the gameplay, I recommend this game to everyone with the best kudos! 98/100
