if you really want to try it out bring at least 3 other friends. luckily the game is free, but, im not sure what the gameplay is like since theres a nonexistent playerbase.

For such a simple concept for a game, it is surprisingly addicting. It may be the images you can use for the background, or it's probably the leaderboard system. Either way, you really feel a sense of progression as you find yourself getting higher and higher on the leaderboard each time you play. This is truly a masterpiece.

This game looks terrible and the physics are inconsistent. The special stages are the god awful ones from Sonic 1 except you have control over the background this time? It just makes everything worse to be honest. The music is not too great either. Do not purchase this game.
Edit: Apparently this game still runs in the background when you close it. You have to go to task manager and look for 'Sonic_vis.exe' in the background processes to close it.

For almost five years of waiting, I have to say I'm pretty dissapointed with the amount of content in the game there is. I beat the game in almost three hours while getting all of the currently available achievements. Don't get me wrong, the game is pretty good, but for the amount of content for the price it's at, I'd say wait for a price drop. The soundtrack is amazing though.

I really had fun with this game! The difficulty and gameplay reminds me of early Megaman games:

Great soundtrack, dialogue, story, and even though the gameplay is really limited, I'm sure you will have a good time playing this if you are into visual novels.
