Hunt monsters, get more loot, then hunt more monsters. What's not to love. Performance is great so far with no issues as of now for me. I loved the game on Switch and this is just that with improved frame-rate and minor graphic teaks. Great game and I'm happy I get to play through this game again but with friends since none of them had a switch.

Very fun Metroidvania adventure game, very reminiscent of SoTN. So far I've spent 6 hours and have completed everything to do in the stages so far and every moment has been very enjoyable. If you like this style of game and/or are a fan of Record of Lodoss War then this is very much worth your time.

The combat is fun, fast and the mechanic to switch magic types to negate damage is a cool idea. The boss fights were fun but once you found the patterns they weren't that challenging and you could take a lot of the damage by using potions or switching spirits to negate damage. The platforming was very fun and really rewarded you for going back to previous areas to find secret areas and items and backtracking never felt like a waste of time. I also love the bow puzzles but I wish there were more of them. The art and music are also very good and the sprites are polished and faithful to the Lodoss style of art.

The only criticism I have is that the game is relatively short with 2 more levels being added (I think it's only that many) for a total of 6 levels so the full game will only take about 8-9 hours when fully released but for a game that is less than $20 it's not that big of a deal and the fun gameplay and tight platforming more than make up for it. so far the 4 levels available were dense and fun to explore but I hope the levels being added expand the map a lot.

TL;DR Very much worth your time as a fan of metroidvania style games and/or Record of Lodoss War

So far this game seems pretty promising though in it's early access release it's content leaves something to be desired with only 3 areas to explore with a total of 8 for the full release. It's definitely a good game but it does have it's downsides but seeing as this is an indie metroidvania it is worth your time over similar games if you like things such as Blasphemous or Hollow Knight you'll probably enjoy this.

PROS
- Amazing art and great moody atmosphere
- Outstanding soundtrack courtesy of Mili that really fits the world and themes
- Combat feels fun most of the time and the spirit system is cool
- The world and story seems thought out and I'm interested in learning more

CONS
- Platforming could use some work and doesn't feel as tight as it should especially the underwater sections
- I love a good challenge but some of the enemies seem unfair at times (Especially those green underwater pricks that zoom like Micheal Phelps)
- Some of the bosses are too tanky/spongy and other bosses go down like a wet paper bag, I'd like to see more consistency in those fights
- Severe lack of direction leads to lots of confusion (I know metroidvanias don't really give you much direction but this goes a step beyond that and can be frustrating at times) and seeing as this is an Early Access my attempts to get to certain places were futile but this criticism only applies to this early release version for now.
