First off, I love this game, and I recommend buying it 100% BUT starting with cons, the game is not rewarding at all; You spawn in, hold down W for 15 minutes ti'll you find a water source (Small map) Then, you check your surroundings, if by chance the water hole or river isnt infested with carnivores that seek blood 24/7 then you're golden. Find a tree and sit, alt-tab the game and watch some youtube and maybe even a couple episodes of your favorite TV show, after that you go back into the game to drink and eat (If the server isn't bugged), then repeat. That is the ONLY way to become the adult version of 95% of dinosaurs. Now there is one exception that makes the game much more entertaining, grab a few friends, and run around aimlessly broad casting to attract attention and be annoying as f***. There is no feature to the game that keeps the player coming back. If you wan't to play a non-apex dinosaur, good luck. Either you have a group or you lose, which obviously makes sense, but is also a problem when EVERYONE plays apex's. I don't blame them, its broken. This game also is not supportive of CO-OP gameplay, AT ALL, which defeats the purpose of creating packs. Try playing the new main map, v3, that sh**s so big, expect to run for 30 minutes. And remember, you have to eat, now as a herbivore finding food is MUCH MUCH easier, so yes, 30 minutes. BUT THE TABLES TURN SO HARD AS A CARNIVORE, AI spawns BEHIND you, so making it to your friend to survive as a pack, which is the only way, is so damn difficult its mind blowing. Now there is nesting you current players might say. Yes, nesting, if one of you wanted to spend an additonal 30 minutes of youtube videos and sitting under a tree, making no movement, or sound, and if you do, you're risking the past hour +..Ok enough of the cons about the gameplay itself, which is under the table awful.

Again, to start off, the game is absolutely beautiful, graphics and the amount of foliage is very immersive; The sounds will basically create the entire game for you, if you have headphones or a sound system hooked up, your jaw will HELLA drop. Customizing your dinosaur to almost any way you want (Palette preset) is amazing. Honestly at the moment, the game is a visual and hearing stimulation bananza, other than that, you are in the wrong place. Play the game for the sounds and the immense amount of foliage, BUT do not play the game for the game play itself, you will be highly dissapointed, but on a side note, there is still gameplay, don't get me wrong, it is just so underwhelmingly slow up until your 3 minute battle or .5 second battle with another dinosaur.
In conclusion, its an early access game, so I understand the game has much more coming, of which I'm EXTREMELY excited for, but in the meantime, buy the game at the current price, and hold onto it till more game play updates come out, the DEVs are amazing with the community, taking into consideration any reasonable player suggestion and much more. Really, shout out to the DEVs. But use this game as a zoo you can fu** around in, not a game where you seek quick fun.
I play the game a ton, but when i invite friends, I feel like an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because the game play is so boring when you want to progress to adult hood, its extremely hard to recommend to friends unless you give them insights of what the game is now, and what the game is going to be, I always tell them to make myself feel better "Don't worry, they update often and the road map is amazing, you just gotta be patient with it" ..
