Playing this game will probably force me into psychology sessions again.

The game mechanics are engrossing, but are an absolute dumpster fire.

The logic in these turn based games are hard to come by sure, but this is just infuriating. And I can't even get a refund now because I wasted my time sitting on my butt watching all the miniclips to analyze the story.

It's amazing how the Advent soldiers on EASY mode have better accuracy than the trained military veterans from across the globe. And sure, I get that there are upgrades, but, hear me out: How do you get those upgrades if you CANT EVEN PASS THE MISSIONS THAT NEGLECT THOSE TECHNOLOGIES?

I don't appreciate that every movement you have requires to reload. Seriously? You have to reload and it costs a turn? I'm pretty sure the military in my local region could reload during combat with ease unless you're an actual neanderthal with a weapon and you've somehow get the clip jammed, and considering this is a futuristic dystopia, I'd expect guns not to be paper weights.

To correlate the complaints with my next statement, why is it that it requires a turn to use overwatch for when an enemy automatically runs up to your face and shoots you up like a water balloon? You'd think that would be a automated trait in all human beings when it comes to fight or flight. I sure as hell wouldn't have thought twice to shoot if someone was pointing a gun at me and he WAS CLEARLY AN ENEMY WEARING A FULLY ARTICULATED BODY SUIT.

And I get that this is a timed based strategy game as well, but this is just idiotic that the amount of time you get to defuse the situation and missions is as comparable as trying to drink a milk gallon jug within 60 seconds.

These are the few problems I have made an analogy from during the game, and hope nobody else makes the same mistake of buying the first of it's kind: a virtual paper weight.

In all seriousness, this is a well made game and was meant for other people, but it kills my OCD to see these branding flaws staring out at me. And yes, I have played many other strategic games such as this. (So that means don't take a big greasy ♥♥♥♥ on my review, SJWs.)

However, I can't say this was worth even the discount price for my own personal reasons.
