I cant play with my friends. Every time we try and get together it just disconnects one or all of us.
I have NO idea how this game became this popular when the multiplayer part of this multiplayer game just flat out does not work.

Early Access Review
Snuck up on a bunch of goons shaking down a comic shop, got spotted without a weapon, grabbed a gumball machine out of desperation and threw it at the first goon. It shatters throwing gumballs everywhere that the second goon slipped and fell on. first one stood back up and I roundhouse kicked him out of a window.

If you need any more of a sell, this game basically plays like Condemned criminal origins by way of immersive sim, so big levels with lots of reactivity and stuff to play with and scrappy melee combat using whatever you can get your grubby hands on. A+ in my book, it almost feels like new blood is incapable of making a bad game

Even before the PSN ♥♥♥♥ went down this was not worth it at all

If you want a fun PVE experience, Left 4 dead 2, vermintide 2 or literally any other PVE shooter has way more in terms of content while being cheaper and not requiring a PSN account. They also have fun enemy variety that this game sourly lacks. The galactic map stuff was fun to watch unfold, it was a shame they had to throw it all away.

One of the most engaging Rouge Likes ive played in years. absolutely nails the addictive loop of getting super powerful, hitting a wall and going back to square one to rebuild again, with a new different just as powerful build.

I think this game is great, but the monetisation ruined it for me.

I get it, an MMO has to keep the lights on through micro and a sub on top of base game price, and Im more than happy to pay a little extra than the regular 80 CAD for a game that is gonna give me hundreds of hours of fun. But the fact that I will have to pay triple the cost to get all the expansions I want because I dident blindly buy the Ultimate edition is insane. And whats even more insane Is that I will have to overpay for each expansion because you cant buy old expansions without having to go through the crown shop.

I want it to be expressly clear, I would have bought into this game more than I already have, I feel this game is well worth my time and money. But I refuse to have my goodwill exploited.

Its missing a local map for dungeons. This and many other baffling feature exclusions can be found in Starfield.

It feels like two steps back from everything I liked about the elder scrolls and fallout games they made. Exploration feels less like exploring a world and more fast travelling from dungeon to dungeon shooting the same spacemen in similar, good looking dungeon environments.

Fallout 76 may have been a mess at launch, but it at least had the "magic" bethesda games are usually full of. the kind of world-building and location design that made you want to see more of the world. Feels like I fully explored the play-space of starfield by hour 6. maybe it gets better later on but I am not devoting the 120 GB to find out.

Its a testament to how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ incredible this game is that IO hasent killed it outright. Always online in single player, fomo events, episodic release and strange DLC practices aside, It is level design taken to a form of high art. Dense interconnected maps filled with all kinds of AI routines and interactive elements to play with making sure that you come out the other side with a Kill that feels uniquely your own. But if the freedom of the levels are too much for you to parse, there's always the opportunity stories to give you more of a relaxed, guided and often hilarious tour.

Edit: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PERFECT PLAYTIME TO POST THIS

What was even the point of the beta?

Still has way too long load times, Still has frequent crashes, Still has a loot system that seems to be bugged, ect.

The funny thing is, the crafting system was partially added in the beta, and it's still in its beta form on LAUNCH. What's worse is that it seems like the exact same thing that was in Vermintide 2.

Because of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ timers on mission availability I can't even tell if they added any new missions since the betas start, nevermind the actual release so all that it seems they added to the game on launch day was a cosmetic shop that uses the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥ tactics every other game uses where you are forced to overpay for items because of how the currency is bundled.

Oh ya, and it still performs like ♥♥♥♥ on a card that this game came BUNDLED with. Cant run ray tracing or anything above medium graphics on a 3060 which is the recommended specs btw, meaning that I'm pretty sure the recommended and minimum listed are a lie unless I am missing something, but I know other people are having similar issues right now.

No, this is not ready, get this game a year or two after release and get vermintide 2 or any other left 4 dead clone instead If you need something like this right now. And even if it gets better, i'm sure the BS timers slapped on everything in the game will drive everyone away long before it's actually done.
