You know, I rarely do these reviews but hey, might as well throw this into the mix.

So, I hopped into my first game as the carvers, and yes, I instantly regretted my life choices. I paid zero attention to the traits that they start off with so I'm like, "Hey, what could go wrong? I usually like going to war anyways. They were good in endless space 1, so what do I have to lose?"

I load into the game, and get completely ♥♥♥♥♥ slapped by a beautiful interface that has a lot of information on it, and I had little to no idea what every piece of information meant. I click into my first star system, and look at my production options. Keep in mind that I haven't done the tutorial because they are for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and momma ain't raise no ♥♥♥♥♥.

I ♥♥♥♥ you not, I sat there for a good 30 minutes just reading over each and every little bit of information on the system improvements. As of this time, I still have little idea what most of them mean but I've learned to follow a pattern for most of the empires so I think I'm catching on a little bit.

After I somewhat figured out the system improvements I looked into my military, which consists of an entire explorer ship and a colony ship. I'm. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Immortal. I send my explorer on auto explore and every time it comes across something I tell it to blow it the ♥♥♥♥ up, and I instantly regretted that too, because it lost it's first battle. I was smarter with my other ship and kept it near my home system, just looking around for another friendly star system. Once I found that, I colonized it. Didn't pay attention to the outpost timing so I got kind of upset that it wasn't producing the colorful circle that my home system had. Having enough of looking around for the cause of this I went to end the turn.

Nope. Technology. Of course, why would a game like this not have a technology screen. I hovered over EVERY. SINGLE. TECH. I still understand mostly none of it besides the ones that let me colonize new planets, give me new ship classes, and new weapons. I pay absolutely NO attention to diplomacy, because momma ain't raise no ♥♥♥♥♥. And I'm the carvers, so who needs other empires right? I just need to collect the puny minor civilizations into the swarm.

A turn turns into two turns, which in turn turns into 4, which turns into 40, and I've discovered the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SURFACE of the systems that this game has to offer. I currently have 20 hours into the game. I've bought it yesterday. I was late for work, and I skipped out on sleep. Actually, that wasn't my fault, because I lost track of time. I JUST discovered the trading companies and how to improve those, as well as how to improve my infantry and tanks. TWENTY hours just to find out as to why I had ZERO tanks when fighting on the ground.

This game is so beautiful too, so much so where as soon as I constructed my first carrier-class ship I watched every. single. battle that it was in. Watching the sheer ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FORCE that it produces that will demolish FLEETS by itself, was in its own category of beauty. It's so beautiful watching the space battles that if I could stick my ♥♥♥♥ in it, I would. Without hesitation. I'm still discovering some aspects of the game, but if you need a good time waster, and are interested in learning a wonderful game with ENDLESS endings, I highly suggest that you play this work of art. There is a playstyle for everyone, no matter who you are I promise you can find your own creative way as to win this game and call the galaxy your ♥♥♥♥♥.

This game is so complex but yet so simple in its own right, I promise that if you are any kind of RTS or turn-based fan, even in the SLIGHTEST that you will love this game.

TL;DR - if i could i would stick my ♥♥♥♥ in this game.
