Baldur's Gate 3 is the first game to genuinely blow me away in years, coming from a studio I've never purchased from in the past, I went in with pretty low expectations, especially given the state of the gaming industry. The freedom of choice, graphics, scenery, setting, voice acting, companion story-lines, story-line itself, builds, combat, all greatly exceeded my expectations. You are never truly on a railroaded path to do a specific thing as each decision proves to impact in your play-through, and each decision feels like it has weight.

Something I was hesitant about with Baldur's Gate 3 was the turn based combat, going in, I thought this was going to be very slow, and very boring - And after beating the game twice, being mid evil play-through, and nearly beating it a third time on a co-op (which is phenomenal, if you have buddies to play this with, 100% must do), I can say the turn based setup couldn't feel more alive and engaging, bringing you into strategics, at the same time, allowing you a break if you need to piss mid fight.

100% recommend, buy this game you are doing yourself a disservice by not purchasing BG3

EDIT: Baldur's Gate 3 won GOTY! Couldn't have been more deserved. Especially after these updates and hotfixes which have been rolling out and delivering everything I wanted and more.
