I love the art-style, I love the story, I love the music, I love the controls!

The only thing I do not like -and this says more about me than the game- is the rogue-lite nature of the game. You build up a character with various upgrades during the run, and when the run is over you have to start all over again. Having my slaughtering of monsters ended at the end of a dungeon, feels a bit abrupt. "Congratulations! You just beat a boss! here's some money to spend on marginal upgrades." Normally you'd get a new weapon or piece of armour. As I said, I realize this might be more a problem with me and what I want, rather than with the game. I thought I should mention it for those of you out there who have similar hopes.

With that said, I can recognize that the way it works in this game is still ingenious.
When you leave a dungeon the story progresses with a marvellously voice-acted cutscene, regardless of whether you lost or was victorious. Honestly the depth of the storytelling in this game is... unbelievable.

If you love rogue-likes and rogue-lites, then I heartily recommend it to you!
