Really comfy game, easy to play eepy and sober or black out drunk. Lovely community who are very laid back and helpful, literally the nicest co-op experience in a modern game. The gameplay loop is simple, yet the maps have enough variety in color, design, and layout to keep things different every mission. My only gripe would be the lack of endgame content. At about hour 450 I unlocked the last weapon overclock, and by hour 500 every outfit from the terminal. Its not a huge issue though, as if you make it to hour 500 you probably are in it for the gameplay rather than the unlocks.

EP1: A nice game, very pretty and with an interesting story. The main character is convincingly written and relatable, inducing nostalgia of bittersweet experiences earlier in my life. Had an mental breakdown reliving senior year of high school. 10/10

Very fun game with a unique atmosphere and gameplay style. You will always feel them watching you, and hear them hunting you out, even unto the end. Never did I feel like the sense of ever present dread had been lifted despite my effort to level the odds against me. I cant wait for this studio's future releases.

Alone, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat is a fun game. It has an interesting story and decent gunplay. The environment is good, though the maps are not as varied as SoC. Overall it has the best polish of all the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series (excluding modded standalones like Anomaly). My main experience is with mods like Misery and the like, and this is where CoP really shines. There is a massive modding community that has just about everything under the sun you could want in a stalker game, and plenty you wouldn't. It is a buggy mess at times, but when it doesn't freeze up or crash to desktop the bugs can make for some really interesting scenarios and events. Also, the only right faction is Loner.

Having no experience with any of the half life universe games until recently, I can see why people are waiting for the third installment. Though the middle part of the game dragged on a bit, the overall design and pacing for the game was amazing. I really like the atmosphere in the starting lab, pre-resonance cascade; as well as the world of Xen. The bosses felt fresh and unique, weapons were very satisfying to use, and the world was very alive. A very refreshing shooter in a world of clones.
