After an initial refund and waiting period before repurchasing it, I've now finished the game.

Game needed specific AMD software (Adrenaline, not drivers) to get it to work. Bunch of crashes after that but some patches seemed to have fixed that. For the most part performance was playable, couple of hitches but I have an older system.

Gameplay wise its a joy. Lots of freedom of movement. The variety in styles is perfect though I wish we could have more than 2 stances (mods ftw). Theres plenty of platforming but it feels good once you get the muscle memory down. I think it improved on the original is every way. Saber customization options are fantastic. Love it, though the keyboard controls are rough in that menu.

Been impressed not only with the simple fun this game offers (one of the few i've felt inclined to get all the the achievements) but also with the steady release of content

Solo, Co-Op really brings me back to the original game. Gunplay feels solid after recent patch, hopefully we get more options with portal but so far the variety is huge.

Definitely a great take on modern anti-zombie warfare. Love the direction it's going, love the huge map, love the customization options for difficulty.

Theres plenty of visual sync bugs but i've only had to reload saves twice to continue. Gameplay is fun and variable

This game has such a unique and fun play style. I'm constantly admiring the polish in the UI. Overturning the tide of creeper takes a while but playing smartly is rewarded.

I wish there was a way to take cover. Even crouching would be a blessing so you can duck under the friendly fire, which in some moments is your greatest enemy. A bit too much of the success depends on not strafing into random stray shots.

Some sort of stationary low health shield that naturally recharges would be nice to give you a second to catch your breath from certain angles.

Would have liked to see the curve of unlocks continue the whole game with more turret types. Maybe allow upgrades to turret passive strengths or more tiers of upgrades for each turret.

The Ui is a little glitchy in that it will often select the wrong target or will open the wrong menu when you are moving fast. Would have been nicer if the Build Menu wasnt the same key as Nearest Object Menu

Would have liked to see a use for the machine gun turrets. The canyon part was a good use but that was about it. More diverse terrain would help. The flat levels were the bad ones (comparatively) and the circle surround ones worse. I really enjoyed when I could set up multiple firing nests to cover an area. Much more so than the perfect circle defense levels. Those were hectic but kinda boring. (especially when you have to replay them multiple times because you got emp'd at 99% then one shot by a falling drone)

Would have liked to see swarms of smaller enemies that can dodge sniper shots. End game just adds more things for you to lock on to manually with missiles and dodge random death from bouncing things rather than more enemies that require different turrets (or even the ones already there). The game tells you the missiles are expensive but when you get 5 mines up in the first 30 seconds you can afford to fire missiles nonstop after your ring of turrets is up (which is really strong). It also tells you that the large tanks shoot down the missiles. But I didn't see I single one go down if you shoot them top down.

The emp was maybe bugged in that I couldn't repair any of my miners I had to recycle then replace them all which was just painful ex combined with the clumsy building in tight spaces. You really have to learn how to back up inbetween each placement.

In 6 hours I beat every level on normal with 4-5 fails overall so it's not especially long but my %'s were very low on some levels so there is some replay. I really do like this game though. Ive nitpicked it and mentioned all my complaints but that was literally every complaint or issue I could think of.

I enjoyed the message, I enjoyed the story and didn't really expect the ending. I thought I knew what was going to happen and I was only half right. The writing came across a little soapboxy at some points but rang true. I just hope for a bit smoother gameplay (reload animations would be cool!) and more options for enemies and turrets. Looking at the steam discussions though the Dev seems very active and intent on adding new content, so I'm hopeful.
