These days more and more multiplayer games launch without voice chat features, and even those that do seem to have very few people actually using them. CS:GO is different. Pretty much every game mode except competitive is a toxic trashfire, but competitive itself is a lot of fun when everyone's communicating and working as a team, sometimes even when you're losing.
Lately I've experienced a lot less toxicity in my matches which is great, and I can't even remember the last time I was in a game with a blatant cheater - although smurfs and/or sus players do crop up pretty regularly.

Idk there's just a lot to like about this game, even in 2022. It's maps are so much better than it's "competitors", it's gunplay feels better, and the lack of a constantly changing meta due to new characters/abilities/weapons being introduced makes it easy to come back to after being away from the game for a while.

Slay the Spire is a gift that keeps on giving. Whether you're into looking up guides and playing to a meta, or just discovering builds and strategies organically, there's so much to enjoy. This game REALLY delivers on what it sets out to be.
I haven't even dived into mods yet, but I see lots of praise for the community made content out there.

This is one of a small handfull of games that are very near and dear to me.

Replicant falls short of Nier: Automata's greatness in many aspects, but there is still so so much to love about this game if you're the kind of person who seeks a connection with a games story and characters in order to motivate gameplay. If you are looking to be hooked by gameplay alone, this probably isn't for you.

I honestly have no idea how much longer I have left in the game but my jaw couldn't drop any lower at this point so here's a thumbs up.

Near impossible to set up an account and activate with the steam code given from purchase. The game also will not install on my system. The download gets about 200mb through before showing an error. Google and SE Support offer no solutions. I've spent several hours, on several occasions, trying to find and fix issues and play this game and it's just not happening. So here I am leaving my first ever negative review on Steam, $30 poorer and pretty disappointed that I'll never play this game.

Yes, I'm aware that Steam counts as it's own platform separate to just using the SE Launcher and all of the BS that comes with that.

EDIT: Months after writing, I found a fix. As it stands this game's mess of a back-end slurped up $30 that I'll never get back. So despite playing and enjoying the game at the moment, I will be leaving this review here. I hear the developers have earned a lot of good-will with its player-base but this is a rocky start.
