Ahh okay I will buy game!

Buys game - Unable to play full game for 72 hours after buying the game.

Theres nothing you can do to get around this. even if you want to pay to play you have to wait 3 days for access... Why?

Performance - First time doing anything in this game will cause frame drops - once you have done it once it seems not to be so bad the next time.

Hours doing PVE without any PVP feel like this game has alot of potential but has focused a little too much on early PVE

The most wished for game on steam…

Me and a few friends decided to see if it’s true name is the scam before. So here’s the pros and cons of the current state of the game.

Cons:

- Inventory issues:
All the stuff you find or have found has a good chance to go poof. Happened to everyone I know who has played so far.

- Bad desync
When the servers are full people are sliding, guns have no sound, it’s like a circus

- Pointless quest system.
Good idea but executed poorly. The quests are just 2-3 different quests on repeat for each trader that has no affect on reputation. Just lets you buy guns.

- Loot table is poorly executed.
If you know where to look you will find every gun the game has to offer in less than 45 minutes. (Armours included)

- Stash is just too small

-Cars will be pointless
Map is also too small.

-Bad performance for those who do not have a high end PC
I currently have a 3090 and I run the game close to 200 fps on the highest settings with no frame drops, but I know others with similar power of gpu’s who struggle to get 60-100 frames on low.

- Guns are unbalanced
Any gun that causes bleed is over powered (shotguns)

- zombies are too strong,
A normal city zombie will take almost 7-8 shots in the head from an AK

There’s alot more issues with quests but I’d be here all day.

PROS::::::::

- looks decent and there is alot of effort put into the looks

- when the servers are actually populated it does feel alive the city

- when you are not desyncing to the moon the gun play is fun,

- unfortunately there’s not much else.



Game is worth $8 I’d say in its current state

A game you play by not playing it. Takes much skill.

Do I enjoy this game? Yes
Would I recommend it? No

The simple reason for this is because currently the game is almost within an unplayable state. And here’s why…

If you havnt been following the new world forums I’ll list what I consider are the most game breaking issues for someone new.. so anyone who is considering the game.. would need to know.

- Game is filled with duper’s/botters that goes unpunished.

- Majority of PVE quests are bugged. Where they are supposed to spawn 1-2 enemies they spawn 50+ making them impossible to complete.

- Any pvp’ers out there, people are unkillable 80% of the population either currently abuses life staff and heavy armour/hatchet 300% damage bug.

- economy is terrible. Crashes constantly

- Making gold even as you level is rather difficult.

- Server performance… it’s a lag fest

Those are the bugs I think would affect casual players the most. There are obviously about 1000 more game breaking bugs that are known in the forum, but unless you hardcore get into it. It won’t affect your experience.

Now into the PVE content of the game.
/they only spent one year to develop this… so it is rather excusable.

- rarely any character dialog.
- no cut scenes that makes things immersive
- Repetitive content. All quests are the same, with the same type of monsters. Just ones that are higher lvl. You actually get to fight all types of npc’s by lvl 10

And those are the reasons why I couldn’t recommend the game. New world is outstandingly beautiful. With amazing sounds but right now I wouldn’t call it a game in release. It is a beta at best.

This just shows that VR isnt just the future for games... But movies.
This well thought out piece was absolutely beautiful. I sat there speechless watching such a magical moment.
Would recommend for anyone with anxiety or stress issues... Something about this just completely drained it away.

Its a good game! and a must buy!
