Pretty alright, I'm enjoying my time playing. I think the only one negative I have is that the fishing minigame is awful.
It's not hard, just tedious. I'd rather just have my guy idly fish with no interaction, than have the same dead easy and just a little too long minigame (Especially when the final point is near the end of the circle, ughhh) over and over. I find my bait chest filling because it takes me a while to even want to go fishing for a little while, and I end up avoiding fishing for as long as I can.

It hurts me to put a not recommended on this, as I love Powerwash Sim a ton but

While it's awesome to be in Bikini Bottom and the style match is spot on

For eight bucks, you only get 6 levels.
3 location based cleaning (6 buildings to be charitable (And for simplicity sake counting the merman lair as a building)
and 3 vehicles.
That's about 9 things to clean, but the vehicles are incredibly short so they barely are anything and take at most maybe 10 minutes to clean each.

I took my time to clean, and even then it took me around 8 hours, which makes it a buck per hour of playtime or about .89 cents per cleanable object
The latter there I feel weird as it's kinda hard to weight the value of the very short vehicles compared to the much longer levels, but even with the more charitable one it's still a rather rough price point.

I really, really, wish more was done to be a better value

This is a fun little rhythm game done that is of about double A kinda quality the kind of double A that you'd see on the xbox live arcade era, a small team of 30-40 or so people so you know that it isn't gonna blow your mind or anything. What it does though it does well, and I was really surprised at its varied music selection, even having some big names like Rob Zombie and Papa Roach!

For the record before I give out judgements, I played through the story mode on hard difficulty as that was about match to my skill and was a mix of challenging and fun. Before I start too, I will make one request.. please make a borderless window mode!! Fullscreen really sucks when you have a two monitor (or more) setup. Why also is there only a manual offset setting, why not use what's already there with custom music's bpm calculator for setting your offset?

The story mode is about 24 tracks, played twice to go through as each character to experience the full story. I'd recommend pacing it out a little with a day long break or so that when you have to play through the songs again it doesn't feel too repetitive. You don't need to binge every game after all, and I enjoyed myself much better when I did take a break instead of feeling the need to grind through the latter half with the feeling of almost done beating the game.
Albeit it still is a little bit repetitive having to play through the songs again with only some variation coming in with the cutscenes.

The story.. I actually found rather enjoyable despite what others have said. By no means is it good per say, but their focus definitely wasn't in telling a gripping tale. It revels in its cheesiness, and it's just honestly fun. There was a few really goofy moments that caught me so off guard that I giggled.

When you can get into the flow of the song and get really good, it's also feels very satisfying. You really do feel like a badass kung-fo movie protag when you really start kicking ass, it's very visceral and satisfying to fend off such a huge crowd of mooks. The hit sounds are punchy, and it sounds good when you are hitting on beat.

I think my main issue with the game is.. man, the system of getting bonuses just sucks. Flat out, that is unpleasant. Having to double tap a button that isn't always to a beat and it doesn't have any sound indicator that you hit on any beat just really breaks the flow going on especially on the blue faster enemies where it feels even more awkward as you pretty much have to double tap between beats and quickly hit the next. When it gives a lot of the bonuses in a row it can legitimately feel fatiguing on the hands too, some levels have more than half the enemies have at least the 500 point bonus ones and often grouped up together. I found more enjoyment in the game in sections where it didn't have any bonuses to collect, like the helicopter boss was my favorite level for that reason and I saw it in the more fun parts of the song 'I Can't Wait' and etc. was when I could focus on the flow and there was very little powerups to collect. There was also some parts where the powerups made sense to the beat though, like it was decently done in 'Last Resort', although I think it'd feel so much better if it was less yellow enemies with powerups but more so just two blue enemies clustered rather close.

This issue is honestly at its worse with the boss. Aggravated also by the tentacles feeling weird to hit, I am not sure if I am just not getting the beat right or if there is some change to timing and making me hit off beat but I struggled a lot with that boss and it wasn't from me feeling overloaded. The whole gimmick of it with the damaging powerups just make things all the worse, as the already unpleasant and flow breaking hits are now necessary.

I'd honestly love a mod that would just auto collect the bonuses for me, detecting them and auto doubling my input. It'd actually let me enjoy the game a ton.

If there ever is a second, or hell even this game but redone just a little I'd hope that the bonus system is either removed or heavily reworked. Like honestly I think it'd be so much better that instead of a double tap, it is something like you only collect the powerup if you hit that respective note at a great or higher timing. Removing the 500 point bonus and making the other ones a little more rare (You could even put in the occasional point bonus, but a higher point bonus to balance the sparser powerups)
Make the final boss more engaging with something like a slow health drain (Because he doesn't play fair, cheating in his own simulation) and you have to hit trickier notes that have health restores. Balancing so it doesn't require perfection, and you could miss a few health restores but still be able to manage to recover so it can reach a tenseness instead of frustration of "Oh I just missed this one note now I am dead"

Another feature that might be nice would be the ability to make charts for this game and upload it via Steam Workshop functionality. It's something more rhythm games should have, as it will extend a game's lifespan quite a bit more. The automated play your own tunes thing is a nice idea, but full automation of that is rough. It only looks at the BPM of a song, but it doesn't have anything else like telling the intensity of the track and reacting accordingly with the enemy placements.

Anyways, I enjoyed the game though. Just if you get this expect a game that's rather rough around the edges.

An absolute DELIGHT of a game, honestly!
I loved playing it, and it's a big recommend from me.

The music is amazing, the exact kinda ♥♥♥♥ I love
And being such a niche thing like "Rhythm Game Arena Shooter" is fun, especially for a rhythm game nerd like myself

The only issue I have is how short the game is for its price tag and some bugs I encountered.
I got it while it was on sale so I feel like it was much a better deal, but the base $30 price tag is a hard sell for how much gameplay there is. It took me about 8 hours to complete the game along with each challenge. (Though I might play some more at some point to try and get more achievements.. some of them seem really tedious though so I dunno if I'd want to bother getting that much 100% of it.)

As for the bugs I encountered, it was mainly just sometimes some of the arenas in the game did not load in, but the rest of the levels would load in fine after it. This only happened two times, but one of them was particularly upsetting as it was replaying through the final level for the second time after dieing at the final boss.

*Spoiler Warning for talk about the bosses*

Speaking of the bosses, I kinda was sad about how the bosses were not different characters any. Just different designs of the same one, which was a little disappointing. I also found some of the bosses frustrating.

The one with a pool of lava with platforms that would sink and come back up had one moment where the wind blew me to the middle lava pool while all the platforms sunk and it felt really unfair.

The one that makes clones was unclear about the fact that the clones didn't take damage, and so wasted a lot of time before I realized that it was the "Identify the real from the fake illusions" and not just the kind where they clone but the clone's damage counts.

The final boss attacks were VERY annoying, and was the only time I died enough to run out of revives. This is when I found out that I had to replay the entire level to be able to do another attempt at the boss which sucked a lot, I'd rather to have a severe hit to the score I don't really care about to respawn at the start of the boss.. or maybe some way to just be able to practice a fight and learn patterns?

Like the first and the.. I think it was the second to last phase that are the same where I can't seem to figure out how to avoid several of the attacks and I just have to brute force it to the next phase, and with how it is I can't really just figure out how to avoid them.

Other than that though the presentation of the final boss is REALLY COOL. The second phase where you are fighting her full form, the sheer scale of them it was really cool, and then the last phase when she's on her last legs crawling at you and making you dodge (albeit more ones I couldn't figure out how to dodge and brute forced) in that tight space while just getting that last bit of health down. It's so cool
Also I flat out gasped when I realized the final boss music was the one by Serj which was the one I was looking forward and was wondering why I hadn't encountered that track yet.

An absolutely ADORABLE game! It really stuck out to me when I was going through some of the games I had not seen before in the huge Humble Bundle for supporting Ukraine, and I just had to play now. I really enjoyed myself as I went through this game in one sitting, I even went out of my way to get the two missing hidden achievements I missed in my first play through. The only ones missing are the two achievements where I have to say No.. a *lot*, will have to see if I can cheese 'em so I can tidy up and get all achievements for the game but that's for another time.

I think my only gripe is while the value is really great for from the Humble Bundle, for about 2 to 2 and a half hours of gameplay I'd be hard pressed to spend $15 for this. Either get the bundle, get a whole bunch of games and support a good cause, or if you missed it wait for a steam sale I'd say.

As a heads up by the by, there is a minor bug I *think* caused by alt tabbing in the main menu that you have to restart the game to fix. The best I can describe is that it really bugs out the menu, will flash dissapearing and I think I have seen the title in the main menu also flash a white square occasionally. All the hud elements of the menu basically just gets bugged, and it also doesn't seem to let you hit play (Or at least when I had this happen it didn't let me continue on a chapter.)

The current playtime I have has been entirely waiting for the game to boot up (Which takes like 5-10 minutes), it giving me a 10010 "Server authentication failed" error, and immediately closing the game.

Fantastic.

Edit: After now an entire hour dedicated to booting it up, and giving it a month to see if anything ever got fixed I booted it up to be met with the same error.

So I have deleted this useless game. Good riddance.
