There are many pros and cons for this game and in this review, I'll do my best to highlight them.
Lately, there have been a lot of negative reviews for Warface and at the time of writing, the "recent reviews" are only 59% positive. I feel as though the game has a lot more positives than it does negatives when it comes to gameplay. The primary issues of the game are with external factors such as servers, devs and "rude"/cheating players. Obviously, the devs and servers can be argued for when it comes to "external factors" but for the sake of this review, I'll be referring to them as such.

Everyone loves lists so here's the for and against arguments.
Pros -

• - For a 2014 released game the graphics hold up quite nicely when compared to other similar games of the same era.
  
• - If you have any prior experience with FPS games then both PvP and PvE will seem reasonably easy (especially to start with on rookie servers)
  
• - There is no shortage of weapons to choose from. At the time of writing this, I believe there are - 26 Handguns | 26 Submachine Guns | 29 Shotguns | 40 Assault Rifles | 12 Machine Guns | 27 Sniper Rifles.
  
• - The game is updated regularly with new weapons, events, achievements being added quite often despite still being 5 years old.
  
• - Most maps for PvP are more balanced than one would expect from a F2P game, the side you play on rarely has an effect as to the outcome of the match in team-based game types.
  
• - PvE missions are rotated daily with different difficulties. (e.g - One of the missions you played today could be set to "hard" tomorrow)
  
• - The PvE missions aren't always the same using different parts of different maps to create a whole new mission.
  
• - Has 10 different PvP game modes.
  
• - The combat mechanics in PvE and PvP are immersive as well as engaging with many different ways of successfully playing and performing to a high level.
  
• - The support on the website for issues you may encounter is surprisingly quick as well as helpful and informative.

Cons -
• - The repair system is very troubling for Free to Play players. If you equip full gear that needs to be repaired you usually end up losing in-game currency (Warface Dollars) for winning and losing. To combat this players have to find a way to grind Warface dollars through various means such as Spec Ops missions and playing Plant the Bomb (as Spec ops gives a lot of rewards and Plant the Bomb doesn't cause such a high repair cost after finishing the match)
  
• - The matchmaking can sometimes be problematic. Just as an example you may go against a full team of professionals that've played in tournaments, on the other hand, you may go against a full team of people who've forgotten to plug-in their mouse. Usually, the balancing is quite good but sometimes it causes more problems than it fixes.
  
• - In the Free for all game mode 9/10 games you'll encounter someone spawn camping as the spawns are sometimes in decent view of a well-covered spot making it almost a guaranteed death when you spawn in certain locations.

Misc -
One point I'd like to briefly cover is the issues surrounding in-game players that fail consistently versus the same tactic over and over and never learn from it. A majority non ranked games are filled with players screaming "camper" at each other and continue to die to someone in the same spot over and over. Unless it's in free for all I genuinely can't see why. All it would take is one flashbang and a slide or a well-positioned and timed grenade to completely negate their spot.

Additionally, I'm aware this isn't a very favourable stance to take but I see no issue in "pay to win" weapons other than some for the Engineer. If you can aim you can win, no gun or gear will prevent the enemy from dying if you land your shots and have faster reaction times. Statistically, the "paid" guns ARE better but not by enough to warrant people consistently commenting that "wallets win".

The devs need to work on listening to their community a bit more as well as fixing some server issues that allow "red bar pingers" to exists. The anti-cheat is better than people think with cheaters being banned quite quickly with a game ban and a HWID ban. Most cheaters I've seen are in PvE not PvP so they don't ruin the competitive aspect of the game and even when they do show up you can still quickly report them and receive a notification later that their account has been suspended if your report leads to a ban.

I believe there should be more incentive to players who actively play for the objective in PvP instead of trying to farm their K.D, I'm not sure how this would be done but K.D is all people are interested in. Maybe have some stat that reflects your teamwork and objective-based plays that's recorded alongside K.D? Either way, players that camp with a sniper staring at the Storm capture point instead of trying to capture it or assist your team in pushing for it shouldn't be rewarded as much as someone actively trying to win based on the objective of the specific game mode.

Conclusion
I highly suggest Warface to anyone who has an interest in FPS games. It has Co-op PvE, PvP, a vast variety of play-styles and weapons as well as multiple game modes and challenges. It won't be a game for everyone but if you have an interest in the FPS genre I strongly believe that if you've not downloaded it and tried it for yourself you should.
