I've got quite a few problems with the demo :(

Every time I wanna leave the arena to get to the city it keeps loading and the wheel of frustration keeps turning. Then I reloaded it and I worked, but I lost all my levels and equipment. So I restarted, got stuck again to leave to Quilon, quit the game, loaded the save and now I have just a black screen with some of the UI. I give up for now, it looks like such a fun game, but somehow it doesn't work for me :(...

Damage types and stacking effects

In our discord we had some interesting discussion around damage types and effect stacking lately, and questions about how it works in Coridden came up. For you who are interested, here is a quick overview for how damage over time and damage status effects currently work:

Damage over time stacks. So if you successfully scorch an enemy with 10 dmg for 4 sec and then successfully scorch the same enemy 2 seconds later with 5 dmg for 2 sec, the enemy will take 15 damage for the remaining 2 seconds. However, the debuff from the damage status effect does not stack. For example, a scorched enemy always takes 50% more physical damage no matter how many "stacks" of scorch it has. Concerning area of effect (AOE) damage, if an enemy stands in 2 AOE attacks it will take damage from both. It works in the same way for both singleplayer and multiplayer.
More than inflict damage over time, each status effect also debuff enemies in different ways:

🩸 Bleeding: enemies take additional elemental damage.
⚗️ Poison: prevents enemies from healing.
⚡ Shock: causes enemies to deal less damage, it will also decrease their accuracy and cooldown speed of abilities.
🔥 Scorch: enemies take additional physical damage.

And finally, we're in the process of implementing a mini-map. We're still tweaking its looks, but we're excited to give you a sneak peek 👀

Improvements and getting ready for alpha 🐲

Greetings, Shifters! ✊🐲

We've been very focused on work lately, time has been flying by so fast we've forgotten to share our progress! 🙈

As usual, we keep working on adding content, such as skills and quests, but there has also been quite a lot of work with preparing everything for translation. Quests and translation work is kind of hard to show off 😅 But luckily, we have these two fiery beast skills to share with you! 🔥

Also, we'll make the demo available soon. A lot of you found Coridden when the demo was no longer available and regretted not having a chance to play it. We hear you! We'll keep you updated when it comes to dates, so start gathering your teams!

And since we're talking about trying out games, we'll be taking part in the Indie Showcase during Digital Dragons in Cracow, Poland! 🐲 It's one of the biggest B2B gamedev conferences in Europe and we can't wait to meet other developers to exchange experiences and get inspired 🤩 Digital Dragons starts on May 19th and will last for three whole days.

Demo impressions to devs

Solid demo, even tho I don't like that cartoon art style, its good, maps are big very well curated but a little too empty for size, maybe work on some more interactivity with the maps, they are really nice to look at but need a purpose to justify it to be that big, I didn't see the purpose unfortunately. The pet ability duration is a bit too short for my taste, (<this one is subjective). The main thing what I would like u to improve is combat, its a copy/paste from old formulas of diablo-like games, plz im...

Getting some big frame rate drops in the demo.

I am getting some massive frame rate drops with an RTX3080 in 4k resolution in the demo, especially when entering new areas. There really needs to be some more graphic options other than low to ultra and half or full resolution.

Good demo but...

Good demo, I really enjoyed playing it, more than enough to earn a spot on my Wishlist. But why take the Demo down? All the work that went into making that, and you just throw it away and stop bringing in new players? What is the logic in having a demo for such a short time? Taking it down seems so utterly pointless, especially when so many demos went up at the same time! Most of the games that put up demos still have them there, only a few devs have pulled their demos for some reason. I am asking WHY wou...
