Don't buy it for co-op.

Primary reason I bought this game is to play through it with a friend. But only the one hosting will progress. So if you wanna keep up with weapon unlocks and such you have to replay stuff by yourself. Seemingly for no reason at all.

I mean, yea its a fun game but not enough for me to have 2 play throughs at once just to be able to enjoy playing what I bought it for.

@Ubisoft

Oh I know. And that means I can't just play through the game with my friend for seemingly no reason.

Hi there! As the guest player, you keep your Player Progression once you leave the co-op game and are back in your own world. This includes:
• Perk Points
• Challenge Progression
• Perks Unlocked
• In-game money (From looting NPCs, exploring the world and completing missions)
• Inventory Items (Everything except Keys)
• Weapons/Attachments/Skins/Vehicles/Clothes purchased during the co-op session
• Silvers Bars bought purchased the co-op session
Because Far Cry 5 game’s structure is open-world, the narrative is dynamic and unfolds depending on how players progress in the game. To preserve the uniqueness of each gamer experience, the team decided that in Co-op, the world progression is only saved for the Host player. Hope this clears things up!
