Decided to give this a proper try after Alpha testing years ago. Sad to see the dozens of bugs and illogical choices around combat design were never addressed. It's good for what it is - large scale chaotic battles, comedic charm and a smooth entry into free-form melee combat, as it's very forgiving with defensive mechanics and time-to-kill is very long. On a deeper level the combat mechanics are buggy, inconsistent and illogical. Fine if you don't understand it to that degree, but once you do it's not very satisfying. Servers seem to be plagued with ddosing on the weekends as well.

Solo or co-op there's lots to accomplish and discover. A very adventurous experience.

Too lazy for long review. Fun game and it's free, no harm in trying.

This software ups your hours even when you're not using it. Definitely haven't put this many hours into VR. It's alright though, I'm already a no-life so it can't make me look any worse. :(

Great game for those who like satisfying challenges, dark fantasy themes, mysterious lore and replay-ability.

Jumped in without playing the tutorial. Dropped my gun and awkwardly squatted to try and pick it up but instead got shot in the head while my 13 year old boi teammate wouldn't stop screaming that he was John Wick.

Pretty fun, though a wired headset is a pain when you have to turn so much.

Mordhau is a *heavily* skill-based medieval game with a focus on melee combat. Punishing to the novice and highly satisfying to the ones who take the long hours to master the game's mechanics. This game will have you practicing hundreds of hours if you wish to become the best. It also has a certain comedic charm, thanks to voice commands and emotes. If you've played Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, this game will feel familiar.

The game modes range from 1v1 duels to 80 team player battles. The game features in-depth character customization with choices of armors, weapons, perks, equipment and voice commands.

This is *the* Dark Souls of PVP games. You will die, again and again. If you keep at it for a few hundred hours you may see yourself become a good player. If you don't want to dedicate that much time to this game, then more than likely this is not for you. As this game has been out since April 2019, you'll have a lot of catching up to do.

If you're just starting out, try not to be too upset that you can't seem to win. Good luck.

I told the bandit he could leave if he gave me his money. After he gave me his money I killed him and looted him for more money.

I bad-mouthed a noble and got thrown in jail.

I didn't have spare shoes in my inventory to give to a beggar. After I got them from my saddlebag it wouldn't let me talk to the beggar again, so I knocked him out and put the shoes in his inventory.

I accidentally picked the wrong dialogue, had things with some woman and then loaded my game because I wanted the Virgin achievement on my first playthrough.

I fell off my horse and slid down a 50 foot hill without getting a scratch.

I made a bandit beg for mercy simply by dismounting.

I told myself I should stop helping this lady because she was up to no good. I continued to help her and she murdered two people and never gave me my reward. Still searching for her.

I told a guy it wasn't Christian to not give a beggar alms, then afterwards I robbed him.

I stole fine garments to put on my horse.

I still can't convince my friends that a Cuman isn't a mythical monster.
