This game is hands down one of my top three favorite games that I have ever played. Everything about this game is phenomenal. Game play, story, soundtrack, pacing, graphics, stability, everything is amazing. I often find myself listening to the soundtrack when I just need some background music. I have never done that with any other game.

The story is captivating and meaningful. If you truly want to immerse yourself in a story-line, you can't do much better than Subnautica. I actually ended up getting goosebumps at the very end when the Sea Emperor Leviathan gives you your final goodbye as you launch yourself among the stars . There are other side stories you can even get involved in. You can follow along the path of previous survivors on Planet 4546B. You can even attempt to meet with other members of the Aurora that were launched onto Planet 4546B in life pods. But most importantly is the main story which I refuse to talk about much here because I truly think it is so impressive that you must experience it for yourself.

The soundtrack is fantastic as well. It really sets the tone with any and all scenarios. Relaxing? Taking it east in the Safe Shallows? The music will reflect that. Currently experiencing a healthy bout of panic because your submersible is under attack by a leviathan class predator? The music will reflect that. The pacing is perfection because the game doesn't blatantly hold your hand but it doesn't leave you high and dry either. It forces you to explore and experiment with components to make new items that allow you to delve further and further, deeper and deeper, until you are at what is seemingly the core of the earth!

This is a undercover horror game, especially if you suffer from Thalassophobia like I do. But if I was able to push past it and 100% the game, so can you. It's so worth it and you will NOT regret it.
