The game is fairly set on what pace it wants you to play each campaign mission at. It just doesn't let you sit and enjoy building up a grand castle to then do the missions your way. The easiest difficulty level still pushes you through every mission at a rate of knot. And, if you do go against the curve, enjoy being sodomised by high-tier units in droves.

I do appreciate the direction the devs wanted to take this game in, but half the time you're forcibly focused on cheese strats and zerg rushes to objectives.

Great style, runs well, just no time to truly enjoy the experience. Just needs to cool off on attack intervals/wave density for the more casual difficulty.
