The community manager over at AH got fired for standing up against sony

Also sony has backed down on the decision to force PSN accounts but has still stopped purchase in around 170 odd countries of wich those countries could previously purchase the game, leaving those players in limbo about wheter or not they will be able to play in the future

This implies sony still intends to go ahead with raw dogging the helldivers 2 community they are just trying to find out how to do so legally

on that as well sony has a terrible history of not keeping your personal data safe and selling it off to third parties so im not going to revert this review untill those issues are solved

In the neer future this game may be unplayable by Steam users unless you live in PSN privilaged countires and are willing to give up your personal data to sony who has no interest in safeguarding their users

Not alot of servers so this means if you happen to be outside the localle where a server cluster is located you wont be able to play online.

its understandable why this is done but it should be transparent on the store page as not everyone lives in central europe/north america

while i admit it shows promise it is quite clear that it wasn't ready for alpha release or even a demonstrative release,

In an alpha you would expect the crucial components of the mechanics to be functional at most of the time but in this case there is an insane amount of issues with many of the very basic mechanics, i feel that this release would have done better with the mechanics in development being locked away from users rather than being available damaging a players perspective of the game and their ability to play

I would like to stress that this review is written from the perspective of understanding what early access and alpha should mean, in its current state it isn't even worth an investment of the $43 it asks for in the hopes it will get better,

the game isn't playable in its current state by a majority of players and your progress is often wasted,

I genuinely hope it gets better and i have a chance to change my review, the devs seem to care so that may well be the case

keen changed their TOS to screw modders and the communiuty that keeps their multiplayer alive

running a newer GPU and you'l be met with a god aweful explosion of light that cant be fixed along with missing walls and asets everywhere for which there is no fix

being i have about 2000 hours in SE i bought this to support the developers but it will be likely the last DLC for SE i buy

Heres how this DLC release model generally works:

I suspect we might see at least 20+ DLC's

each will likely contain 2-3 in game blocks/skins and 1-2 miscellaneous features per DLC

each one will be priced between $5 and $20 for the larger packs or with better features

now that the base game is effectively released and finished save for bug fixes and the occasional functional update the development continues on small model and texture updates released as DLC, while this is fine the value for the price is disproportianate, this could have well been added with the decorations pack but was purpously released seperatly, and/or not added to the decorations pack

reminds me of the sims games, actually it just stinks of EA marketing style or some free to play mobile developer, a direction i really didnt forsee SE going

it sucks to leave a negitive review for such a good game but the implication of this style of release is that no further development on the game will continue other than releaseing small DLC's requiring minimal development for maximum profit
