This game was actually not that bad. Until you got to the second tier. Robocraft is a free-to-play game that showcases in -game purchases to reduce grinding to virtually zero. As I said earlier, the first couple hours are fun. You design a vehicle, form a platoon and go out and play noobs just like you when you begin. The beginning is very fast paced. You unlock things in the skill tree and depending on how many skill points you have, can choose to unlock things. Tier two and beyond, then you encounter the problems. I felt like I was grinding for hours just to save money for enough armor blocks to finish my design. Skill points are not too hard to come by but when you start to unlock advanced stuff that can only be unlocked via 'Uber points', it just gets frustrating. As the timer counts down and you start driving toward the enemy capture point you instantly get wrecked by a 2 by 2 by 1 thing floating on the world limit with one railgun and helium blocks is very frustrating. The cash system sucks. If you die you receive almost no money and that little amount is spent on repairs. If you sacrifice yourself to defend a flag, guess what, almost no money and a skill point or two if you were lucky enough to get past the railguns and get an assist or two. I have no problem with free-to-play games but when made so blatant pay-to-win as this game is I just want to cry. Overall this game has potential if it wasn't pay to win. I would rather pay say, 5 bucks then go through the nonsence in the game. I felt as if I was ripping my hair out more than I actually got to play and spent a longer time grinding for cash then EA does trying to milk money out of customers. Sorry if this was too long but this is my opinion. Maybe if they fixed the pay-to-win I will come back.
