Sea of Solitude has a very deep and dark subject matter which explores mental illness well. It also addresses the horrible effects of bullying on young people in a realistic manner. The art style and graphics for this game are lovely, the lightning is great and the colours throughout the game were fantastic. The gameplay wasn't anything unique or special, though it did have some good moments. the story wasn't anything special either, although I can really appreciate the purpose behind the games narrative. The voice acting could be much better, and the emotions behind a lot of the characters/voices seemed very straightforward without too much depth. The game is also a little short, 2-4 hours for an average playthrough. The designs for the game, specifically the monsters, are amazing and there were a lot of moments where i felt really intimidated getting into dangerous situations with them. I feel there's not really anything too amazing that stands out about this game to make it innovative or unique, except it's subject matter and how it handles it, but i do feel that it's still a good indie game and should be experienced!
