I cant play any game modes. Either it glitches out or loads forever. Poorly optimized

Can be improved, but as it sits it is amazing. Progression system feels good, not my favorite but its notable. I love the massive co-op design where everyone wants and NEEDS to help each other. Fun dialogue and the combat is INTENSE! I prefer fighting and defending against the automotons.

Its Borderlands dude. Kill things, get more guns, repeat. Fun and enjoyable

There are no other games like it. It can be frustrating and pay to win at times. But, over time it has gotten better. No match is the same and with the amount of variety in vehicles it can feel like a brand new game sometimes. Some vehicles are pointless in game play, bombers, and some only exist as memes. Air RB is tough and unforgivine, Ground RB feels like it is the game mode that they really care about and arcade.... I dont go there. However I have realised the fun and enjoyment of this game. I want to see it get even better and I want to see how this game can evolve. Right now it isnt perfect and yes it is over 10 years old. I suggest people take the time to find their niche and run with it. It is GRINDY and it almost feels never ending. I have more hours than it says I have. Almost 2k hours on Steam and I have played it since before tanks were even a thing. Since 2012 i have played it on and off and only in the past 2 or 3 years have I ever been consistent. Right now its the best it has ever been and I say...support it if you can. It can be greedy, and manipulative with its grind, but I say it can be rewarding and fun when you find your way. Take your time, learn the vehicle and run with it. I do not recommend for short sessions and I say you really need to sit down and put time in it.

I am playing on the lowest graphical settings due to my computer being potato. However the story is Terrific though its not as immersive as RDR2. First let me address the elephant in the room. JK rowling. SHE IS NOT PRESENT IN ANY OF THE STORY. Someone else wrote this and it becomes apparent within the first 30 minutes of the story. Sirona. I see it as a name that she chose. If you are trans and find it offenseive I have nothing to really say about it. Im not gay or trans so my opinion doesnt matter for Sirona. However there has been nothing about the story, the well written characters that scream JK rowling. This is the harry potter universe. Anything baring the name benefits her. So the only way to not support her is to stop harry potter. For me, I see no reason not to support this game. There clearly has been effort put into the game. Its a single player, story driven, open world rpg in the harry potter world. Its before the actual harry potter so you can have your cake without destroying cannon from the books and movies. Its as far away from JK Rowling as possible. This game is good.

Now to the actual game!
Pros: Music, set design, character design, animation, combat and story

Cons:The AI stupid as hell, Somewhat inconsistent rules on violence, maze like navigation , no quidditch, motivation for your character.


To point out my rather generic review. The issues I have with the game myself is mostly what motivates your character. It just feels like you are never really in danger until you put yourself in danger, rather than you always being in danger. The story so far is Amazing and rather interesting. Not having quidditch somewhat sucks but, based on the flight controls for PC it may not be as fun as I would have hoped. The controls are... rather stiff.

The scenery is beautiful and the map feels huge and expansive. Its highly detailed and there are plenty of places to explore. I love the creative way they attempt to hide loading screens. There are plenty of places that look exactly like they do in the movies.

Combat is very forgiving but, difficult. Yet when you get things down it can be sceenimatic and FUDGE. That is the beauty of the game and I enjoy every second.

Enemies are stupid as hell. SUPER stupid. Stealth is broken. If the specific enemy does not see you. If you kill it violently with a lighting bolt or smashing its head into the ground 5 times on the other side of a tent, they wont notice or engage you. They will ,kinda, meander in your direction. The upgrade system on your skills is simple yet effective. Brooms are design only and have no stats other than upgrades you assign to them.

This game isnt perfect. It is still amazing and does everything that I believe games should be. I love this game and its clear diversity and inclusion are a main factor in this game. Play it, give it a chance, let the game be the proof of its merit and not jk rowling.

If you love the ace combat series this is a must buy. Plays almost like acecombat 7, more flexibility than AC. However the lack of planes is a issue for me ( AC for the same reason. Some accuracy issues bother me too but this isnt a sim)
If the devs support, add and iron out the game more than i say this game is perfect.

graphics 8/10 theres this odd look to the game that makes it seem...like it still is a copy of ace combat. its odd... almost uncanny vally. but with all the attention to detail behind the gameplay all if not most of its small short commings are forgiving. even if this game as 60 bucks i would say buy... and this game is less than 30

As a person who only plays my career and ofline modes.... this game is pretty decent.
However thats the problem. 60 bucks and i get ads in my career. No next gen support, hackers and chearers. Not enough effot to make this game better over last year and then dipping when we ask for the next gen.

They dont care about pc. They deserted us and are only after our money. DO NOT BUY THIS FOR PC. You wont get next gen and its not worth 60 bucks for a half ass attempt.

I can say this. This game is a Huge improvement on Warband in EVERY way. However that may be a downside for people new to the type of game this is. No this game does not hold your hand nor does it pretend to. You are who YOU want to be. A trader? Bandit? Lord? You name it. They fleshed out major issues from warband like marriages and clans. They give certain choices a point to it now rather than just being an option in warband. They made the map bigger! They made the terrain more realistic with improved graphics, physics and textures. They improved combat AI and the 150 battle cap. WHICH IS AMAZING cause large scale fights feel large. An army of 600 is an army of 600. No more 800 v 800 fights being drawn out 75 v 75 skirmishes. They made the shouting more realistic, they gave weight to EVERY desicion. All without once after locking you into someone else's story. You arent a courior in new vegas. You are you. This in itself is its greatest strength and weakness. This game is VERY niche and appeals to a focused few. Thus this quality is welcomed today by fans but, may still be lack luster to other games. In many cases the graphic quality may be below games 5 years older than banner lord. However fans understand that warband wasnt cutting edge either as the developers arent dealing with a Electionic arts budget. The big benefit is the modding community however as this review is done on day one. The mods arent here yet and i cannot recomend any untill a few start appearing and become fleshed out. But, based on warbands modding community. I can say that there will be many MANY great things....Floris...

Should you buy? Maybe. Long story short. This game is early access. Many things that you see can and will change. More things will be added, and maybe some removed and replaced. However if you are looking for a sequel to warband. This is the perfect product. If your looking for a polished game.... wait a year for the modders and the dev team to tighten things up.


There are huge issues for campaign players like myself. One of which is late game opimization issues. My game runs fine initially, no hitches, no freezes and everything done promptly. Once however things get really going...expect your computer to slow down if not crash.

The issues for multiplayer are massive. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME FOR MULTIPLAYER! The native servers are dead and with how many issues there are in this game to start... yea just wait for either private modded servers to show up, or ..... just dont. Im going to be honost. I am biased against the multiplayer here. I just see no reason or need for it personally. like its there.... thats it. No reward system no ties to the campaign really.... its.. there.

Summary: Game is in alpha. Its not going to be complete for a while. The dev team only really does one thing and thats mount and blade. Warband had its limitations and was by no means perfect. What made warband amazing was how...unrestrictive it was. It fully came into the world expecting to be fiddled by modders. It was never ground breaking tech wise. Nor was it the prettiest. It was fun because of how little it did to control you. Bannerlord does everything warband did and improved it. Battle size, optimization, graphics, sound, physics, and combat have all seen improvements. Sieges....ignore that untill they fix the AI pathing issues. and some of the perk balancing....damn engineering ruining my plans.
This game was ment to be an improvment on warband in every way in my opinion. If you arent one of the many die hards. I suggest waiting till full release or untill more mods become available like gekokujo, floris, middle earth mods for bannerlord.

Its a farcry game... that sucks. It has an insanely limited amount of weapons, no real stealth, bugs galore , enemies that dont die, game play that makes no sense. Key binding that is annoying and in some cases backwards.

Story is good.... then you run into things that make no sense.

Its like I played the game before. Wildlands comes to mind. Its just a huge cluster fudge of..... unimpressive. I expected way more from this game. It gave me a lot of vehicles to choose from... but, if I want to avoid being shot at every 15 seconds.. I dont get to use them.
Helicopters are... overly simplified while the aircraft is annoying and just doesnt handle well at all.
Its just.... Wild lands all over again except less guns, more vehicles but no reason to ever use anything besides a plane, annoyinly over populated with bears and cougars, and a near useless fishing mechanic.

Its almost like they set this up just to sell DLC so they could fix issues they already know they have. AKA. they going to add more guns. They are going to expand the map and add more multiplayer content.

Here is why i recomend this game. Its a great game.
Realistic, great maps ( even limited.)
Its just SO SO hard. You cannot run and gun like call of duty ( thats the point)
Weapons are limited, roles are finite, if you dont have one of each role your at a huge disadvantage.
You don't have a mic? Do not dare be a squad leader or commander.
Theres so muc hminor issues that for a novice can be overwhelming
My issue. Authentication. For some reason. I get timmed out after 35 seconds every game.
However i still think its an epic game. They just need to put in some work.
