I've finally completed every game in this series, minus the oddball mobile games.
This game was very enjoyable the whole way through, Insomniac knocks it out of the park yet again. Overall, I'd say it's a great buy, regardless if this is your first R&C game or if you're a lifelong fan like myself. Wonderful work, Insomniac and Nixxes.

On another note: I didn't have many performance issues that others say to have, though some unusual crashes, I can't say what caused them though, they would usually happen on death.

This demo gives you a small, but satisfying look at what to expect from RE8. It gives you an introduction to some of the characters and enemies you will meet in the full game. I feel the two areas available here give you a good mixture of combat, survival horror, and puzzle solving, though the timer can hinder your ability to really take in all the details and enjoy then for what they are. Of course there's sort of a workaround for the timer, but I'll keep it out of this review.

Gameplay-wise it's like a mixture of RE7 and RE4, which ends up being a great Resident Evil experience overall. Performance-wise it runs unbelievably smooth on my mid-spec PC at 2560x1080(Ultrawide) with the only hiccups being when faces are close up on the screen or when that bug lady is around. Makes me wonder why the PS4/XB1 ports are running at 900p 45fps.

I'm definitely interested in the full release and recommend this to any Resident Evil fan.

One of the best team-based first person shooters ever. Definitely in my top 10.
